My wife's uncle pass a few weeks ago - last week his widow won $1mil lottery

The family is still somewhat in shock.

A few weeks ago my wife's uncle passed away. We just attended his memorial a short while back.

Last week we learned that his widow just won $1mil on the Lotto 6/49.

Lucky for her...not so lucky for him.

Crazy how life works sometimes.

Good for her!

at least she will be financially set.

He probably helped her win it. He cared for her so much, he wanted to make sure she is taken care of since he is not around.

ps. my condolences Silent

That's a bad luck for him ... :(

nico-t 08-13-2015 03:35 AM

be sure not to mix up the 'condolences' and 'congratulations' cards.

Tom-LifeSelector 08-13-2015 09:39 AM

That's a really sad and crazy situation :(

How did he pass? Was this natural causes? And was the lucky coupon submitted after his death or before?

Well, I'm always curious like that, my apologies.

He doesn't know anything about it so to him it's not bad luck. I am sure if he was offered a few more years alive or $1m for a week, he might rather be alive. I know I would.

Yep people seem to get a bit pissy about that for some reason.

if he was an asshole, it'd be the same card.... "congratulations! oh, and by the way, congratulations!". I suspect my better 1/2 will be getting a few of these cards after my burial. She's already assured me that she'll outlive me by any means necessary.

Very true. One less thing she has to worry about.
