My wife's uncle pass a few weeks ago - last week his widow won $1mil lottery
 

The family is still somewhat in shock.

A few weeks ago my wife's uncle passed away. We just attended his memorial a short while back.

Last week we learned that his widow just won $1mil on the Lotto 6/49.

Lucky for her...not so lucky for him.

Crazy how life works sometimes.

Good for her!

at least she will be financially set.

He probably helped her win it. He cared for her so much, he wanted to make sure she is taken care of since he is not around.

He doesn't know anything about it so to him it's not bad luck. I am sure if he was offered a few more years alive or $1m for a week, he might rather be alive. I know I would.

if he was an asshole, it'd be the same card.... "congratulations! oh, and by the way, congratulations!". I suspect my better 1/2 will be getting a few of these cards after my burial. She's already assured me that she'll outlive me by any means necessary.
