What More Can Life Throw At You
.
When you're older, and you think another brick's in the wall. There's a look in people's eyes that you can't mistake. I think there's a moment in one's life, where you know you're getting old. Finally. After all these years. And you're not like your parents anymore. You have become you. |
that's too deep for a newbie gfy user

LOL. But still. We are all just people at the end of the day. Right? Being in the ADULT Industry.. I'm not a fucking Nun, that's for sure.. And I'm also sure, no one here is a Priest either But when you finally realize you're getting old, life sorta changes. No matter who you are, and what you do for a living. T |

Old is only in your brain. You never know when your time is so age doesnt matter. |

There's a reason the highest suicide rate comes from people 45 to 64 years old.

My past month:
Husband in the hospital for a week, very ill. During this week my dog and I got attacked by a pitbull that was off lead in a public space, I picked up my Cavalier spaniel when I saw it charging and it bit the shit out of me trying to get to her, then pulled us both down and almost killed her. $4500 and 2 surgeries later she still has an open wound about an inch wide (they had to remove so much skin and tissue they couldn't close it) and it's horrible to look at. My bites have healed but I have a torn labrum (shoulder) and achilles from the attack, so I'm still in pain. The day after the dog attack I had to put my 15 year old cat to sleep. My birthday came and I didn't even get a card from my mom, dad, 3 siblings, living grandparents, inlaws, anyone. I got a few text messages and facebook posts whoopiee no gifts, because, hell I'm 39. |

I don't know what happened to the dog. The police interviewed the owner and he admitted the dog was not leashed. The report said that it would be forwarded to animal control but I do not know it if was declared dangerous or what. I'm just glad my young kid was inside when it happened. |

The only concession I have made to getting old is being a little more careful. I don't push myself real hard when working out. I don't ride my motorcycle as hard. I have very safe investments. I treat people a little better.
Pain/loss are great teachers. . |

The reason I created this thread was that earlier in the day, I got a phone call from a friend who had passed on the news that one of my oldest, dearest girlfriends - a sooper beautiful model, and mother of 1 - had committed suicide last week. On her 32nd birthday... There were no drugs, pills or alcohol involved that we know of as of this post, and it just dragged me into a weird place. Out of the blue. It's kinda how everyone thought when they heard the news of someone, say, like Robin Williams. You just drop your jaw, and go, "Whoa".. After so, so, sooo much sex, drugs and Rock & Roll since I was 14, L-Pink says it best is I'm much more careful now. Pain & Loss are great teachers to be sure. They also create the greatest songs ever written. And Cyndalie, I can relate. I gave up on expectations on my birthday and prefer now to make 100% sure, I spend them alone. No one around. Just me, and a bottle of V. At 35, it seems I'm 90 with life's experiences. Traveled the world, best parties, limos to the hilt, model, money, blah, blah, blah. At the end, I think that death is bizarre. With my dad, it was, talk to him the night before on the phone, the next day at 8AM, get a call, and he's dead. Same with my girlfriend. T |
Is the other dog owner paying for your vet bills...and your own medical bills, etc?
If not, I'd be contactin' an attorney and going after them in civil court. |
I think with age comes the wisdom that your actions can affect more than just you and you start to keep that in mind when making decisions. The recklessness of youth begins to fade.

When your 20 every little thing is drama. When your older you've been through so much shit that ya just backhand the issue and say what else ya wanna throw at me as been there done that so you know how to handle shit with ease.
Not saying I'm a fan of getting older as my younger/wilder days were hella fun and created quite a few good stories but think life is much easier now as ya gain experience. I still get 20ish chicks hitting on me as look a bit younger than my age but once they begin talking I tend to lose interest as don't need to inherit drama. Think the first time I felt old was when I was talking to a younger chick and mentioned some tv show or something and she had no clue of what I was talking about. :1orglaugh |

I have a few younger employees (ranging from 22 to 30) that I have to use my mental drama filter on. I only hear about 5% of what they're actually saying most times. And I usually tune out anything that begins, "Like...so, ya' know...I was like..." |

I was helping out an 18 year old camgirl last month to get prepared for her 1st show, and told her, "If you need any more help or advice, call me on my house line tonight." (These are sometimes called landlines; remember those?) She simply turned her head after I handed her my number, and said, "What's a house line? Is that a phone?" I'm 35. :-P T :banana |
