Another great opportunity to learn something new at GFY. Who says this place is just for porn?

Paul&John 08-14-2015 11:35 AM

Green tea is awesome ;)

I already drink green tea, but I don't really trust your "info blasts" (not really objective). I still remember the last one about Coca-Cola.

By the way, it might be best to avoid most exotic kind of green tea mixes with exotic stuff in it. Even though everything is "natural" you better not to eat or drink all kinds of shit. You know; odd mushrooms or plants that make you oozy (like cannabis or coca plant), etc. Some people have managed to get liver damage from exotic green tea mixes. The tea part is fine, but the other stuff they put in it..

Does this apply to all green teas? I'm a huge fan of iced matcha green tea!

Wehateporn is informative. At least it isn't soul sucking negativity.

Sure is........ been drinking for a decade.

My recommendation if you want the tea bags:

Tetley Green Tea with Lemon/Honey extract.

L-Pink 08-14-2015 12:56 PM

Everyday I stick a glass bottle with 2 pints bottled water, 4 green tea bags, half sliced lemon, and some local honey on the deck for an hour or so.

Solar green tea ... Good habit to have.

Awesome idea. I need to start doing that. I drink the shit out of some green tea.

Sly 08-14-2015 06:44 PM

Not that I doubt the benefits of green tea, but that whole infographic is full of "it may" and "it could." "It may" does not mean "it does XYZ at F%."

With that said, I have a box of green tea in the pantry. What's the best way to make iced green tea for afternoon drinking? I do not like warm drinks.

I put mine in the refrigerator over night then drink it in the morning for the caffeine. Put it out in the afternoon sun and repeat.

JFK 08-14-2015 07:51 PM

I drink it with Chinese meals, or "Arizona" from time to time:thumbsup

8 oz of Arizona Iced Tea has 24 grams of sugar.

A 24 oz can of Arizona Iced Tea has 72 grams of sugar.

Make your own ..... :2 cents:

I am a green tea expert, not "any" green tea on the shelves are good for you. The loose leaf organic ones are the best. Tea bags like Lipton, Nestea, big brands still have "unknown" substances added in. Best to go to a "natural" store to get it. I'm not talking about Whole Foods either.... ;)

Matcha is super good for you! Helps with detoxing, improves cholesterol levels high in antioxidants, again in organic powder form not from Starbucks though. :2 cents:
Look at the ingredients!

Okay, as you guys are giving tips, I give mine: put fresh mint leaves into the tea.
