Got news this morning that my oldest daughter was mugged last night on a public bus while on her way home from work.

A black, skinny punk grabbed her new $900 smartphone out of her hands, bolted out the bus door and vanished.

Police are checking bus security footage - but said chances are slim they'll catch the asshole or retrieve the phone.

Not to deflect an ounce of blame from this asshole, but to be honest, it probably wasn't the smartest move on her part to have the phone out and be so engrossed with it that she wasn't aware of her surroundings - especially late at night. She said she didn't even get a good look at the guy other than he was a spade.

I have stolen/taken a few virginities, they didn't get it back...

I said above - it probably wasn't the smartest thing to not be aware of her immediate surroundings - but she certainly wasn't "asking for it". To say that is to imply blame. The blame is totally on the cowardly scumbag who mugged her. She was on a public transit bus - typically regarded as a relatively safe environment with other passengers, security cameras, etc.

Law of probability - would probably narrow it down to another dindu nuffin.

My next door neighbors son was attacked with a couple a week ago. All 3 in the car, 3 guys stop & raid the car with metal bars, all for phones & the hand bag in London, like WTF! My neighbors son actually got smashed over the head by the bar, causing seizures that night! He is ok now thank god.
