Ride Out or Sleep? What would you do?
I'm a night owl, don't even start getting sleepy until 3-4am. I have an extremely important engagement tomorrow morning. I have to be there at 5am, so I have to leave my house at 4:15am. Do I try to force myself to sleep or just ride out and sleep when I get home? What would you do?
I need to be extremely sharp and I don't know when it's going to end. I could leave at 10am or as late as 5pm. I have to speak in front of a crowd, so being sapped of energy or jacked up on caffeine would not be ideal. The struggle is real, people! |
What typically happens to me is, try to force myself to sleep, doesn't work, end up riding out anyway.
Try to catch some zzz's if you can. Any sleep is better than no sleep. |
still time to get some rest

Tough call...but I'd likely try and force myself to get at least a few hours of shuteye.

Go to bed early and just lay there in darkness with your eyes closed till you have to get up.. You might not get a deep sleep, but its almost just as good.

I hate it when that happens, it's 4:25am here, I'll go to bed now and sleep till midday
|
Do something that usually makes you sleepy. It can be eating, masturbating, reading or even exercising. A little sleep is better than nothing.
|
I usually will plan this out a few days in advance by either pulling 24 hours and crashing at like 7pm, then sleeping till' the A.M. or the day before just sleep like a few hours so i'm exhausted and able to get to bed early.
I feel your pain. |
Smoke a doob and watch some golf.puts me to sleep within 15 minutes
|
I've tried this and it does seem to work. To quote another forum:
" 10 minute naps with elevated feet? Both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylver Stallone claimed to do this. They said it was the reason how they could work hours upon hours non stop everyday without crashing. Laying down, taking a small nap with your feet being placed on a pillow or something, so that it's higher than your heart." |
