Back when I lived in AZ I was sent a new ATM/Visa card 2-4 times a year cause a local ATM that I used was compromised. They never limited my card or anything just issued new cards to a ton of people. :2 cents:

My sales are running at about 15% of normal so far today strangely

They could be lying of course but the security guy for Ashley Madison said they did not store full card data...

Yeah and I am the second coming of Jesus. I wouldn't trust a single word coming out out of the mouths of any Ashley Madison stooges. :disgust

I hope they get back to normal soon

and this is really interesting theory, as I have strange feeling that someone somewhere, after10-15th August - once again - turned off the plug and barely let any sales come in......

I started the thread expecting everyone to say their sales had stopped, but they didn't, so I figured it was just me, timing was spot on, it was mostly the first 4 days, pretty severe ratiowise

After it happened, sales almost completely stopped through the night for me.

The banks have a code for adult sales, they can stop all adult transactions easily by not allowing transactions with this code to go through, makes sense that some would do this until everything's under control.

I got high a week ago and got a sub at Jimmy Johns and a pizza next door at 3am and they locked my account and made me get another card.. :(

I hate it when that happens!! Same thing happened to me when I tried to load my Stabucks app. Transaction didn't go through (but it should have) and bank locked my card down. Fun. :(

August: half the world is on vacation/holiday right now. Banks see all those transactions coming from different places and they clamp down. Plus people are spending their time and cash on vacation stuff, back-to-school things, Labor Day parties, first week of the NFL (gambling). All equals a shitty time of year.

April and August are always the worst for me.

I was unable to use it as credit or take money out of ATMs, but I was able to use it as debit and get cash back at the grocery store. Banks are so fun... :/
