Cashing in on the Ashley Madison Hack
So I checked if one of my seed emails was on the hack on one of those database checkers yesterday, and today I get an email from them:
Trustify You or someone you know recently used our search tool to see if your email address was compromised in the Ashley Madison leak, and we confirmed that your details were exposed. This sensitive data can affect your love life, employment, and follow you across the web forever. There are ways to hide the exposed details, but first you need to see what information can be found across the web. Talk with our experienced investigative consultants to learn how you can find our what incriminating information is available and could ruin your life. Learn More :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |
Can you post link to one of those checkers?
|
So the question remains - just how much does it cost to "talk to one of their investigative consultants"?
I figured last night this was the next step after the email addy confirmation. |

Has your data been compromised? First one is a little more simple (better)... the second one seems like a sales pitch for something else. |
Double post and adam beat me to it.

I saw on the news where they were charging people to have their account info deleted, but never actually did it!

1) Market the list with other dating sites
2) Build a dating list yourself (double optin) 3) Sell them protection softwares 4) Send them to lawyer's pages, with adsense on it of course LOL |

I see a number of federal charges in a few company's futures.
They can probably get away with publishing the hacked data through some loop hole or other. But when they start profiting from the hacked data...selling various services to those who look up their addresses, that's likely a whole new ball game. |

Comparing Standard Internet to those guys is comparing apples to apples. One of them just happened to get away with it. But the cost to innocent people and companies worldwide in lost productivity and IT costs was substantial for both scams. And yes Ron (12 clicks) if you are reading this (as I'm sure you will)...that doesn't make you 'a better' or a successful businessman. It just makes you low life scum. If Ponzi schemes were all the rage back then, I have no doubt you would have had your finger in one of those as well.

1) download the dumps
2) ...... 3) prison |
"There are ways to hide the exposed details," ... lol, serious business

Oh right, because in their tiny brain, they can't think of a possible way to succeed that doesn't include cheating. I know the bitterness creeps upon you late at night when you're admiring your one room apartment and dead end life but really son, you're exactly where you're supposed to be. don't be bitter, learn to like it.:1orglaugh |
1. Make an AM checker...it doesn't even needs to work
2. Spam the fuck out of it 3. Harvest thousands of live mail adresses from guys checking if they are in the leaks 4. ????? 5. Profit |

Ps. How many times a day do you search for your own name to see if anyone has mentioned you? |
