When the largest porn network has to resort to arbitrage to make money
So I decided to check out PornHub today and first thing I get hit with is a popup ad to an Arts&Crafts site with video ads for Denny's, Visa etc, as well as mainstream per click network ads.
Two of the URLs that came up: VisualizeBeauty | How To Do A Salon Perfect Manicure At Home How To Make A Flower Out Of Paper ? ObjectPatterns Unreal. The largest holder of adult traffic in the world has to resort to ripping off unsuspecting advertisers to make a buck. |
well that proves there is no money left in porn :2 cents:
thanks obama! |

To me it's more shocking mainstream products would advertise on a porn site. I'm sure I am missing something here. LOL |

They dont care

I just checked the site and got the same old livejasmin pop-ups. Cleared cache and another one. Somebody reported a persistent xss bug a while back in the image galleries. Maybe Pornhub didn't fix in time.
I reported a persistent XSS bug to tnaflix recently. They didn't respond. I fully disclosed it on xssposed.org. You might start seeing weird pop-ups in peoples profiles on that site. |
Sometimes all a guy wants to do is get his fap on without any bullshit. Not even in the mood to fap anymore. This is complete bullshit.

I would run a malware check just in case. I'm not getting the pop-ups, But the pop-ups could be hidden in the flash ads. |

OK but....hmmm. Either Traffic Junky is accepting bids from these companies or.....sorry, still confused. I don't see how these mainstream sites could have their pops on Pornhub without them knowing it. VERY odd. What would be the advantage for Pornhub be displaying these ads?
Maybe I'm just tired and not seeing it. LOL Quote:

Step 2: Feed with low quality, unconvertible tube traffic. Step 3: Profit. |

I noticed that too some 2-3 weeks ago. I was being fed popunders for tickets to NFL games as well as getting "cookied" for both Hotels.com and Booking.com.
I ended up adding the forwarding domain, the pass-through-domain, to my hosts file and set it to local host to let any such questionable forwarding just die. I do not buy my travel arrangements from porn tubes and there is no reason to let them cookie me for when I do book a hotel elsewhere. |
