US Marines kick Moroccans ass in France

Cool story, nice work! Hope the guys recover fine.

*

A US Marine is in critical condition after tackling a Kalashnikov-wielding gunman on a train between Amsterdam and Paris, according to French media reports.
The serviceman, who has not been named, was one of two Americans on leave - possibly embassy guards - who tackled the 26-year-old Moroccan national to the ground after hearing him load up a gun in the toilet.

In the scuffle, one of the Marines was shot and is now in a critical condition, France Info reports. He was airlifted to CHR hospital in Lille, France. The other Marine was stabbed, and has been taken to the central hospital of Arras with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Hero US marine who prevented terrorist's train massacre in France is 'in critical condition' as he and his comrades are praised for 'extreme bravery' in saving dozens of lives* | Daily Mail Online

United States Marines rock.

Robbie 08-21-2015 04:37 PM

Jesus, one is shot and one is stabbed. Sounds like they definitely saved the day...but didn't kick anybody's ass. :(
Sounds like they took a pretty bad ass kicking and still came out on top.

Two-three Marines trying to detain and eliminate all danger from a dude carrying a big gun. I highly doubt they politely asked him to hand over the goods.

Bring back the death sentence for scum like this.

Just saying...that's pretty rough for those boys to be hurt like that.

Bryan G 08-21-2015 04:51 PM

Amazing he did what he did. Hope he fully recovers.

Helix 08-21-2015 05:54 PM

Has the Obama administration started legal proceedings against the Marines yet?

Rob 08-21-2015 06:01 PM

All these years and the U.S. is still saving French asses. It doesn't say in the article, but were the other Marines injured by terrorists, or by the French people running away? :winkwink:

All jokes aside, I hope they have a swift recovery. Who knows how many lives they saved. You know there are quite a few French people who have a completely different view of Americans now.

Barry-xlovecam 08-21-2015 06:15 PM

Islamic nutter with a Kalashnikov on a crowded inter-city train in Europe ... What could go wrong ...

Those 2 US Marines saved a lot of lives. A speedy, full recovery to both of those brave men.

Two unarmed men took down a gun man armed with a semi automatic rifle in a confined space. Isn't that the exact definition of "kicking ass"?

ctggls 08-21-2015 09:22 PM

Too bad they were injured during the fight ... :(

shake 08-21-2015 09:44 PM

. True bravery taking down this asshole before he could open fire on everyone. Hope for a full recovery and for them to get credit from both French and US governments.

JuicyBunny 08-21-2015 10:03 PM

Still some good in the world. I hope the Marines involved are well compensated by French.
US wont' do shit for them except maybe, just maybe a medal. They deserve cash, pussy, whatever they want. Think of the carnage they stopped from happening. Un-fucking real.

RandyRandy 08-21-2015 10:30 PM

The term hero is used way too frequently these days.

It should be reserved for people like these heroes (one of whom is being reported as a civilian, none of them Marines), who sprung into action with total disregard for their own safety - and saved countless lives by doing so.

femdomdestiny 08-22-2015 02:35 AM

Incredible luck for passengers to have those two guys at that moment. France is fucked up with all those savages living there. Actually, whole europe is fucked up. There is incredible amount of them coming right now from Syria. Hungarians made smart move with fence on the border.

Indeed :2 cents:

For those who don't understand: "critical condition" = "gonna die at any moment". So there is nothing to be happy with. Course they are heroes. But kiskin' ass is not a correct definition in this situation. The final is good for the passengers and sad for the marine. Let's hope he will recover.

aka123 08-22-2015 02:51 AM

Based purely on the title they did hate crime. Maybe this could be described better, so that this would sound better in international standards too. Besides, France has historically close ties to Morocco and especially to nearby Algeria that was part of France. To both countries they still have very close and friendly ties, especially to Morocco.

But kudos for tackling the terrorist; hey that would make a lot better title.

Not Marines. Even better, Air Force, Civilian and retired National Guard.

Yep, just read this in the local news. Very strange there is no mention about any shot person. The article says the gun was taken away at the first moment and the riffle has jammed, so no single round was shot. Let's wait for the real story.

arock10 08-22-2015 05:50 AM

That seems to be a very early article. Last one I read it seems gun jammed, 2-3 Americans pounced on him and the one injured was stabbed in the struggle

JuicyBunny 08-22-2015 06:12 AM

I gotta find a way to use muzzle thumping in some porn text.
Nice one on the ground for the Air Force.

The article posted was one of the first out, it was based on initial comments by various French authorities.

No need to shoot the messenger, geez.

Vendzilla 08-22-2015 09:11 AM

Let's just call them American Service men and be done with it, they showed true grit

dyna mo 08-22-2015 09:23 AM

i'm pretty sure "ass kicking" is a metaphor. and getting beat in the head with your own rifle by your adversary then hogtied while you squeal "give me my gun back!" then looking at an extended prison stay would fall within the realm of getting your ass kicked.

Barry-xlovecam 08-22-2015 09:56 AM

I am sill planning on being in Paris next month.

I really don't mind seeing armed soldiers or police in airports or even on trains these days -- as long as they are there for the right reasons.

Outstanding, it doesn't matter who handled it so long as it was handled.

I'm sorry but this sounds like the US marines got their asses kicked. They attack a poor guy in the toilet and one of them ends up getting shot.

Yeah, well done.

You were pretty good at trolling for a while. Now you just keep pushing past the edge and make it really apparent. Scale back just a tad and people will still play along.

aka123 08-22-2015 06:20 PM

Based on our local news that terrorist did wound two or three people. One of those probably got shot as there was mention about a man who tried to stop that terrorist before those Americans and it ended up in shooting.

Here are 3 guys who got medal from it, one American is missing from the photo as he was still in the hospital (I assume the old guy being French).

Those boys are heroes indeed. Everyone ran the other way from an AK-47, they ran towards.

Wayne Kyle: [to his sons] There are three types of people in this world: sheep, wolves, and sheepdogs. Some people prefer to believe that evil doesn't exist in the world, and if it ever darkened their doorstep, they wouldn't know how to protect themselves. Those are the sheep.

Wayne Kyle: Then you've got predators who use violence to prey on the weak. They're the wolves.

Wayne Kyle: And then there are those blessed with the gift of aggression, an overpowering need to protect the flock. These men are the rare breed who live to confront the wolf. They are the sheepdog.

Kind of unfair towards other passengers to say that.

The first passenger to have fought the gunman was the french guy who tried to enter the toilet but he has since requested anonymity. Then a gun was fired and the French-American passenger was injured by the bullet. That's when Spencer Stone jumped him with Alek Skarlatos, the student Anthony and that British guy helped restrain him.

If you read the story coming out and you'd been in a Eurostar/Thalys/TGV you'd know he probably didn't make it more than a few feet from the toilet.

Heroes. No need to try and put anyone down.

This probably has very little to do with the person you quoted and more to do with the fact you have no toilets where you're at. Just saying ....

I'm not 'putting anyone down', what's with you. What about the train staff that locked itself in the bathroom to hide. My compliment was also intended for the first French guy as well, I did read the article:

--
A French passenger who happened to be there tried to disarm Khazzani -- described as "small, slim, not very strong" -- but he got away and fired at least one shot, wounding a Franco-American traveller in his 50s.

But the attack was quickly stopped when two off-duty US servicemen and their friend charged the gunman and restrained him.
--

That to me comes off that this guy reacted upon a face to face chance encounter with the gunman, not to take away from his heroism, it's a bit different than these boys that actually charged towards the gunman from distance.

What's with people on this board, have something negative to say even in situations. These guys are heroes, period.

nico-t 08-23-2015 02:08 PM

good news. Unbelievable, those fucking mass murdering retards, what the fuck is going on in their tiny brains? They should have thrown him under the fucking train.

heard the guy shot is out of the hospital
