Rand Paul says Saudis are bribing US senators to Saratog the Iran deal..

Bah "sabotage"

I'd really like to like this guy. On some issues he's spot fucki g on, like this one, but other issues he couldn't be further apart from my views..

According to an exposé published by National Post, Sen. Rand Paul(R-KY) has corroborated the previous allegations regarding certain U.S. senators receiving Saudi black money to scuttle Iran nuclear deal. In an interview with the Canadian daily on Friday, Dr. Rand Paul accused a number of high-ranking officials in Capitol Hill of accepting millions of dollars from Saudi Embassy to torpedo the much- anticipated nuclear deal sealed between Iran and group 5+1.

"It is indeed deplorable that Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and many others whom I even abhor to call colleagues— have betrayed their country, jeopardized our national security and filled their pockets with Saudi petrodollar in order to veto a deal which can guarantee no arms race would ever erupt in the volatile Middle-East. I have numerous incontrovertible evidence substantiating my claims." National Post cited the Republican senator as saying.

Our founding fathers left us with a great legacy of dignity, moral rectitude and not bowing before despot kings, added Sen. Paul, but regrettably there is a bipartisan coterie of corrupt senators who capriciously crave for Saudi money, and thus being accomplice in horrifying crimes masterminded and committed by Saudi regime as tens of thousands of Yemeni civilians are being slaughtered, let alone the innocent American souls perished in 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Arabs and Persians are historical enemies back to the times of Nebuchadnezzar and Darius.

At least the crazy guy provided concrete proof of his incredibly serious and life altering and career ending allegations.

Oh wait,.... he didn't.

On my iPad Apples lovely genius of a browser, the cursor doesn't move in the title field to stay centered so if you type out of the box you pretty much have to type blind and can't see what you typed..

"I am so keen to ask Sen. Menendez his reasons for voting against Iran deal, is it because he obtained million of dollars in bribe from his Saudi friends or his sincere sense of patriotism? I want to ask him what is his rational alternatives to end the current impasse and futile hostility with Tehran which lasted for more than three decades? though I am sure that he has no answer for all my questions because he knows better than I do that corruption is deep-rooted in our political system," added Sen. Paul who supports Obama administration's rapprochement with Iran.

That's later on in the article.. I didn't quote the entire thing. Yes he did play pardison polititics and only name called the Democrat, while not mentioning the names of his fellow Republican which he also claims took money..

As I say, I'd like to support the guy, but sometimes he gets shit right then other times he's just as bad as the rest. The above is perfect example.. Why name drop only the Democrat, and not his fellow Republicans which also are taking money to sabotage it.

You exclaimed in your title rp says sa are bribing. My post is exactly what he said, which is not "are", it is asking menedez if they are.

Details are important and usually later in the article, so your "that came later" in the article is a moot point.

Sly 08-22-2015 07:42 PM

I'm surprised nobody mentioned that the senator mentioned by Paul, Bob Menendez, has been federally indicted for corruption (taking bribes) after years of the DOJ and FBI trying to nail him. I would not be surprised if that is why Paul mentioned it specifically.

I guess it explains why career politicians will spend millions of dollars of their own money, to get a job that pays ~$150k per year.

Politics as usual.

Could be, was he the one they just indicted a week or so ago? If so perhaps they should charge the rest of them as well.

No, this past spring. Pretty big deal.

The grammar in the article is so poor and can't be simply typos in a hastily written and unedited piece. It HAS to be written by a foreign national or an idiot. Probably Ted Cruz, as he fills both of those criteria.

I'm not surprised you think reality is trying too hard.

i'm not surprised you continue to fall for clickbait articles about politicians desperately trying to get eyeballs.

i like this part the best-

In an interview with the Canadian daily on Friday, Dr. Rand Paul accused a number of high-ranking officials in Capitol Hill of accepting millions of dollars from Saudi Embassy to torpedo the much- anticipated nuclear deal sealed between Iran and group 5+1.

there is no canadian daily news interview of Paul.
