I've given my bed a golden shower and got all the shit out! (PICS)
Over the weekend I treated myself to a new bed... My old one was full of shit.
http://i.imgur.com/JErhg9I.jpg So... I cleaned it all out... http://i.imgur.com/CVF0WNq.jpg And gave it the 'Golden Shower' treatment... (Yes... Thats the name of the gravel mix...) http://i.imgur.com/6ktX1YJ.jpg The reason its called 'Golden Shower' is because when its dry, its a whitey grey yellow... But after a shower it all turns a bright gold colour. It rains all the time in the UK so it means that I get two different effects from it, for the price of one ! http://i.imgur.com/GUwGy3z.jpg The above is the old view from my doorstep... http://i.imgur.com/sXxt0iV.jpg Looks a bit neater now eh? |
I do like that town you live in - How long does it take to get into London from there?..
If the London house is ever sold you might get a new neighbor - We have been looking at Brighton but it's bloody expensive..... |
looks awesome.. great job

Well the train station is actually pretty much on my doorstep, so if I catch a train to London, its a little over 2 hours. Not sure about in a car cause I haven't driven there since the introduction of the congestion charge, but when I did used to do it in the 1990s, I could get there within about 3 hours. But that meant speeding.
TBH, its so convenient to jump on a train I cant be assed to drive. Trains run all the time, straight through to paddington with no changes :) It is a nice place to live though, although a bit quiet. On the plus side though its still a very British place. Very few immigrants, or at least the ones that are here go unnoticed so thats a plus too. Low crime rates and a safe vibe. You can go outside at night at not hear a single sound. Not eve a car engine in the distance. Quite relaxing. If I ever moved, I'd move to Brighton myself. Teignmouth is actually a lot like Brighton but on a much smaller scale with less going on, but its nice to be able to take a stroll along the seafront each morning :) |
What is the congestion charge?
