Four men suspected of being involved in the deaths of 71 migrants found in a truck in Austria were placed under preliminary arrest on Saturday by a Hungarian court.

The preliminary arrests will be in place until the suspects are indicted or Sept. 29, at the latest, said Ferenc Bicskei, president of the Kecskemet Court.

The court agreed with prosecutors that the severity of the crime and the risk that the suspects would flee justified their arrest. Bicskei said the four suspects appealed the decision, saying they had not committed any crimes.

The three Bulgarian suspects are aged 29, 30 and 50, officials said, while the fourth suspect ? an Afghan ? is 28 years old.

The refrigerated truck with the dead migrants was found Thursday in the safety lane of the main Budapest-to-Vienna highway. The suspects were detained later that day in southern Hungary, near the border with Serbia, where Hungary is building a 4-meter (13-foot) high fence.

Making the journey as difficult as possible results in these sort of abuses and tragedies. You have to ask yourself why would someone risk their life to flee their home country ...

If European countries and the USA would close their borders and reject all illegal immigrants as a matter of policy, it would take away the incentive of these barbaric human traffickers to put them all in cargo holds and tractor trailers where they drown or suffocate.

US and EU borders are closed for 'illegal immigrants' or 'economic migrants', obviously there is no stone wall, force field or something like that to stop them but they get deported and they are most certainly illegal and should get deported, however there is something called 'refugee', those are people fleeing war from example, like the people going to EU from Syria, those are not illegal at all

Mexicans crossing the border with US now do so illegally, Trump can build the biggest wall in the world but if Mexico goes to war with lets say Guatemala mexicans will still cross the border quite legally as they will be refugees then.

Eventually, Libya, Syria and Iraq will have new regimes.

And they will probably be military dictatorships or even worse a new Islamic Caliphate.

Don't count on the USA sending troops when the new Islamic Caliphate invades Europe -- that is Islamic extremist intent. The USA is becoming a nation of isolationists and xenophobes. We are a defensible continent island with 180 million guns.

We could just walk away ... We seem to be heading that way.

What makes me think that it was planned and organized, with precisely these effects we are seeing now. Or someone really thinks that those guys at white house are stupid,naive, and act impulsively without deep analysis before every move or statement.
