What's shocking is that her music isn't half bad. Yeah, I said it. It's catchy pop crap, but there have been times I hear music come on at the gym and I'm like, damn, that's a good song. Who sings it? And someone will look at me crazy and say, "Miley Cyrus does".

She's really gone off the deep end though. If she keeps this up, she'll start looking like Honey Boo Boo's mom in a couple years. She's already looking quite busted for her young age.

I'm in the same boat, wouldn't know any of her music at all, so maybe i've heard some and like it, who knows. All I know is, she maybe batshit crazy, but atleast she is super positive batshit crazy.

My rock stars were The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith.
They dressed crazier, did wilder shit onstage, and did WAY more drugs than Miley is doing at her age.

Nobody said shit about it (except the authorities and old people).

This girl is a modern day rock star. And I think it's cool. She doesn't need to be told what to do, and when she actually dies from a heroin overdose like Nikki Sixxx did and gets brought back to life by the doctors...THEN I'll say that "yeah, she's almost gone too far" lol

Spot on Robbie! The girl is a young rock star making megabucks. I don't like all her lifestyles and looks but it's not my place to judge people. I say live and let live.

Hell if anything her lifestyle is TAME as hell compared to past entertainers.
Keith Richards, Jimmy Page, hell even going back to the old bluesmen like Robert Johnson or the glittery showmen like Liberace or Elvis.

I don't see that she's doing anything CLOSE to the craziness that the popular music stars of the past did.
And nobody was screaming: "Where are Jimmy Page's PARENTS? Why aren't they stopping him?"

100% agree. She actually isn't doing anything all that crazy and even though we say *oh she's batshit crazy*, she really is very calculated in everything she does. She knows the attention she draws and is extremely grounded for someone with her fame.

Going back to what I originally said in this thread, the way she handled Nicky Minaj spoke volumes about the type of person Miley is! She did not miss a beat and smacked Minaj down and didn't allow her to drag her down into some bullshit cat fight which is exactly what Minaj wanted.

in my opinion, she catches a lot of shit cause she used to be hanna montana & had a fanbase of teenagers. its hard to let go of a first impression you know? She grew up & acts out now (of course because of the stifling expectations of disney) & people dont know how to handle her.

i dont care for her but if she had kate uptons tits & dressed the same way i would never stop touching myself.

Ok I *hate* the fact that I PVR'ed the MTV Video awards, but at least I skipped through most of it while watching it.

Anyway, I thought Miley looked great. She was a perfect host for the MTV Awards show. She was funny and energetic and crazy and over the top, all at the same time.

Was the Nikki Manaj vs Miley thing staged? Maybe, but it looked real. If it was, Miley did a perfect job handling it and keeping the whole show on track.

I skipped over all of Kanye West's stupid rant. How long did that guy talk for, 20 minutes? The show execs must have been freaking out thinking about all the ad revenue they were losing while he went on and on and on.

All the acts were good. Production value was off the charts. Typical good show from MTV.

But people grow up.

I mentioned Keith Richards earlier...if you look at footage of The Rolling Stones in the early 1960's...their entire fan base was young teenage girls too.
Same with The Beatles or Elvis or even a young Frank Sinatra.

People grow up. Her "young" fans are all her age or older now. They aren't little kids.
And they wouldn't like her anymore as "Hannah Montana".

She's smart to act her age. And the money she is making proves it.

LOL! I think the actual girls who were loving Hannah Montana do not have that same opinion. I don't see a whole lot of thing online where women her age are "outraged" at her. It's always the older folks talking smack.
