Do you spend more time on a laptop or a tablet these days ??
Tablet is handy but I still prefer and think I will always prefer the laptop. Especially for work.
You ?? :question |
I might be oldschool, but really.. i don't even use a laptop. It's all desktop for me.
. |
laptop is more portable than carrying around a pc ;)
|
Laptop (with external monitors), by far, for me. I haven't had a desktop for at least 12 years. And, next would be phone, then tablet
|
Laptop here,
I have a IPad and I think I've used it 3 times LOL. It's my daughters now :-). |

was reading recently tablet sales have plateaued. for very specific business purposes tablets are viable, otherwise, they were simply a trend, according to the article.

I use my laptop for work and a tablet for surfing when I'm not working.
|
I am using laptop as well.
|
I use my iPad mini for flights only. Desktop at the office, phone for 90% of things outside the office, laptop for whenever I want to get some shit done.
|
laptop 80% desktop 20%
|
I use my laptop when I travel and it drives me nuts. Staring down at the 15" screen is brutal when being used to staring straight ahead at a 27".
|
Most of my day is desktop based, multiple 27" monitors on an iMac.
For reading and content consumption the iPad is used for a couple of hours a day. When away from home or office, I always take my MacBook Pro with me. In the car I'm always listening to podcasts from off the iPhone through bluetooth to the car sound system. |

I don't know how anyone does anything serious on a tablet other than checking email. |
Neither - nearly always on my 21.5 iMac

laptop is only for travel. Tablet is just useless for work. Maybe answering emails, bit that could be done via smartphone. |

Dekstop when I'm at home, Surface Pro 3 when I'm anywhere else. At the office it gets docked to a big monitor and keyboard/mouse/wired ethernet.
|
Tablets are for watching porn...errr...I mean Netflix

I sold my laptop and hardly use my iPad. I'm on my desktop or phone most often.
|
|

|

I only use the tablet for listenin' to music in bed - or playin' Hill Climb Racing. |

I use laptop & pc 50/50. And if not, most of the time, both are in use 100% of the time with live cam, editing, content uploading & emails. Most days, it's the laptop upstairs on my solarium, sunbathing, drinking & live cam running, using the pc for editing, then evenings, we swap over, the pc I use for live cam & use the laptop for updating sites with clips & pics :thumbsup |
I love computers.
My main PC is an Alienware Aurora R3, running two graphics cards and three monitors. This is my main PC for both work and play and is set up at my desk in my home office here. Next to me is another work station with an Alienware Area 51 PC, running two monitors, but this is really a "back up" in case my main PC goes down. In the master bedroom I have a third work station, and that runs an Alienware MX18 latop hooked up to a monitor. I also have an Alienware MX14 laptop that I haven't used recently. I also have a Microsoft Surface Pro 3, which I use mostly after hours for general surfing and checking email and for reading Kindle books. I do need to take a decent picture of my home office. |
Don't even own a laptop. Picked a few up in stores but never pulled the trigger. Spend enough time on desktop at home and cell phone on the road. Might grab one someday but have resisted so far. :2 cents:
|
Laptop for all work, docking station plus dual 27's in my office and home just use the laptop monitor (rarely do much work at home these days).
Tablet for reading news and browsing web while in bed, never leaves my bedside. |
well, i have a desktop pc for all the work - this main pc is always "up to date".
And - i must admit - i have a lil' netbook (acer, i can only recommend them), when i go to clients. That's all i need. But really, i can't imagine going full laptop. http://i.imgur.com/jPEM9TN.jpg?1 |

laptop.. been kinda playing around with using IMs on tablet and keeping them off on laptop.. however only really useful if one is gonna spend hours
|
Desktop for me, I don't know about you guys but I find it comforting when I'm in my chair and typing on my keyboard at my desk. I have a laptop but for the life of me, I can't type as fast nor do I feel comfortable with the keys on the laptop keyboard. The laptop keys just don't "hit" right when I type which slows down my typing speed. Hard to explain but I don't know if anyone feels the same way. Productivity is always down when I use the laptop.
Ipad mini is used mainly for playing games that I download from the apps store or if I'm traveling. Now if I only can find an adapter that streams ipad apps games to my desktop with audio and full functionality from my desktop keyboard, I would be in bliss :) |
Laptop- 100%.
I bought an iPad but only ever use it for an alarm in the mornings. |
