PSD 09-03-2015 08:53 PM

Best-In-BC 09-03-2015 09:00 PM

Its not bad, but its not great, its about the max I can do or done

DBS.US 09-03-2015 09:30 PM

Do a little test: Try watermarking a video and upload it on Youtube. Play the video a see how the logo looks.

yes this..

But I have a feeling it could be better if the text stood out more. Maybe even something as a simple outline or "stroke" in photoshop would make it better.. It's not great but not the worst I've ever seen either. :2 cents:

Relentless 09-03-2015 09:34 PM

The log is good. Try putting the text in the log itself like it was branded or scorched into the wood. And remove the star it does nothing to cement the branding. You are huge wood not huge star or wood star etc...

branded or scorched is a brilliant idea! :thumbsup

EngineCash 09-04-2015 01:12 AM

It seems nice, yeah... :) :thumbsup

ZeroHero 09-04-2015 01:17 AM

as a basic starter idea is an awesome one :winkwink:

Editing.xxx 09-04-2015 01:21 AM

I kinda like how the log/wood looks but I definitely do not like the text.
And you will need some kind of outline around it for the watermarks because that brown will blend with the most of the vids.

HugeWood 09-04-2015 11:18 AM

I'd like to thank everyone for your feedback and suggestions. Thank you!

I love it! But that's basically the logo of WoodRocket.com, so I think it'd be best if I went in another direction.

SilentKnight 09-04-2015 01:18 PM

Definitely get rid of the star - and don't wrap the text so far around the wood (difficult to read)...just kern the letters (close the gaps between letters) and arch it slightly.

j3rkules 09-04-2015 02:29 PM

It looks nice for me.

jimjum 09-04-2015 03:50 PM

This is perfect ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

NatalieK 09-05-2015 09:16 AM

Relentless is spot on with scorching or branding the wood with the text, therefore a smaller logo, and the wood itself can be made slightly larger. Great idea :thumbsup

5 minute idea:
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-15E-z0MV4s...0/hugewood.jpg

Then make it an animation where a drill comes in and drills the tip, then pulls out with a gush of sawdust.. :upsidedow

The scorched text is good.... the giant cock does nothing to help the brand... if anything it makes it NSFW which limits where you can show it. Go with the log instead but implement a similar text style. Also do not use the asterisk between huge and wood you aren't' huge wood asterisk so it doesn't belong anywhere in your logo just like a star doesn't belong. Do not animate the logo at all... animating a logo once again limits where you can display it and the cumshot drill idea is something that will annoy more people than it excites.

Logos are a visual way to cement your brand in the mind of a viewer. You aren't trying to pack a big message into a logo. You aren't generating sales with a logo. Think of any company logo the same way you think of a person's first name. If your name is Josh you want people to remember that, and they will form opinions about you based on your actions and associate all that with the name Josh. You wouldn't name yourself JoshHasAbigWoodCockHeyLookAtThisStarWeHaveHDXXXVid because that would be confusing, annoying and not memorable.

The only difference between a company brand and a human first name is that a company brand gets to be UNIQUE so it's as if you are the ONLY Josh in the entire world and nobody else can ever be named Josh after you.

Nice tips :thumbsup

The asterisk was kind of a joke because of the previous comments about the star. :upsidedow

Otherwise a good idea, but I don't think anyone wants their penises being drilled. It is like having some metaphorical balls and then someone comes and hits those with baseball.

Barry-xlovecam 09-07-2015 11:04 AM

Get a second opinion :2 cents:
For less than $100 you can have that logo done by a real graphics artist :2 cents:

The log idea is OK but it should be minimalist or an abstraction with text that is pro underneath it IMO.

That was a joke when I was high about the animation, not really sure what else to do with a wood logo except make it look good and minimal.. :upsidedow
Wood is hard to do without looking crappy/outdated, too. :winkwink:

loreen 09-07-2015 11:42 AM

I try to stay away from square logos. Horizontal ones are easier to use (on the site / on a header / as a watermark etc) :)
