Anyone noticed? Streamate/Mtree Vs Google for whitelabel 'thin content' penalties in search ranking:
Complaint: http://digitalcommons.law.scu.edu/cg...ext=historical This is in November 2013, Streamate (ICF) complained (asked damages) about Google sending to thousands of whitelabel affiliates the notice of "Webmaster or Quality Guidelines" violation, "thin content". Also defamation because Google mailed all those affiliates who freaked out. But, on 20th Dec 2013, judge didn't care to proceed injuction: ICF Technology, Inc. v. Google Inc., No. 2:2013cv02068 - Document 28 (W.D. Wash. 2013) :: Justia Because, Google made nothing wrong or unwarranted... whitelabels are "thin content" according to Google guidelines and Google just done his job. |
LiveJasmin is one of the biggest spammers on internet. Popups, popunders, banners... you name it. All kind of annoying things you can imagine, LiveJasmin uses and uses it heavily. And then, they have these WLs all from the same IP with duplicated content. On Google's eyes, these WLs are not individual sites, they are all the same sites belonging to the same company that is a well known spammer.
However, this does not mean you should drop your WL. You just have to find another way to drive traffic there, and not rely on search engines. |
