I am just finishing up my new website - which has been several months in the making. It was a big challenge learning to do everything myself... from casting to shooting to video editing to webmaster. It's been a good learning experience!

I'm using a different business model - which is similar to C4S - regarding buying each shoots individually, as opposed to memberships.

I'd love to get you guys' feedback on it before I actually officially launch in a couple weeks. I'm shopping for a merchant processor currently.

I originally read domain name as lanegirl.com (without the 'w'), so I was a little nervous about surfing over. Pleasantly surprised. Not an adult webmaster, but a male with a healthy sexual appetite (albeit married) . I like the graphics and overall look. Pleasing to the eye. Very professional looking. However:

1. Not clear on what expect. Shouldn't there be a preview section?
2. How does one get access?

Just not complete yet? Seems to be missing the traditional elements: sales pitch with previews, signup page, etc. Otherwise, nice job!

My bad, I missed the password. My apologies for MY confusion. I like it! Okay, so it's a adult content site. I don't get that from the front page. That's the only issue I have. How do people get password? By invitation?

You will not need a password in the future. The password is only temporary because I don't want people to buy - as it is not setup with a merchant account yet.

Everyone will be able to access the site for free and view all the previews - without memberships. Then they can buy the videos they like only.

No worries, I did go to lanewgirl.com,m and used the 'platinum' password. As I say, I love the site. Just question not making it more obvious as a content-for-sale site, and I wondered how potential buyers who find the site get a password. Nevertheless, two thumbs up.

Yeah, that takes it to a new level :) Not a paysite, but no harm titillating webmasters. Can go a long ways to attract sales. I always though LA girls were nice girls ;)

I love the home page. The design is good, simple and refined. The look is different from that of most porn sites and I like that.

However, I am totally unable to enter the site with the password: platinum. I tried several times (lowercase and capital letters) but it does not work.

Note not a porn site per se, but an adult content site geared towards webmasters.

Don't forget to change the permalinks to something more SEO friendly.

It loads slow for me. Bewteen 5-10 seconds. I would advise optimizing your website or upgrade your hosting to virtualization.

Page loading speed will depend on factors both site-specific and user-specific. For me, page loads in 3-4 seconds on desktop using FF. Still slow. Pages should load in less than 1 sec. See here:

So, he makes a good point. Can be a lot of work to get under 1 second, but well worth it. Especially for mobile users!

From the Wordpress dashboard, in the menu that's on the left-hand side go to Settings -> Permalinks. Then select anything but default, I usually use "Post Name". Then click "save settings".

Not only is that more SEO friendly, but it makes it much easier for people to remember URL's on your site.

I don't understand where this password should be entered. I like the design and I suggest you remove the paypal payment, unless you want them to limit your account. Check out GX Bill. Great micropayments solution for your case - selling individual videos. Your users would be able to pay by sms, phone call, direkt debit, etc. Could be integrated with NATS3, NATS4... :pimp

OK. Got it about the pass... And GX - yes I still get paid every month for selling on my sites, so... :) And you should defo remove PayPal, if you want your account to keep on being active.. They'll most probably limit it after the first transaction, so do it as soon as you can...

I just sent them an email. I'm pretty interested.
It's no secret that people are freaking out more and more about giving their credit card numbers - especially to no name sites. So this is something big for me.. especially looking into the future (more mobile, more tablets etc...)
Hopefully it can be integrated with my checkout process. I would think so since I'm simply selling "products", namely single digital downloads.

I'm using Idev Affiliate software for my affiliate and it is linked to my e commerce cart so I believe GXbill would work as well with it.

Yea, you can also pass aff id on the payment page, so you'd know who to pay to when it comes to affiliate payouts. Ask for Mike. He helped me integrate to my sites in no time. Have luck, man!

Depends which department you seek... If you did sign up, they should have someone managing your account and you can message or call them.

hey Zeiss, I registered with them a few days ago and I got a confirmation email right away. They asked to reply and confirm which URL I need their services on. For some strange reason, their mail server is rejecting all my emails from my corporate account (even though it's the account they used to contact me)> Thats really weird. I tried emailing them (sales that is) from my gmail.. twice.. no go.
If you have a direct email from a sales person (not the generic sales email address), let me know.

I just visited your site and at the beginning it's really hard to understand what your site is actually about. If a visitors is confused for the first 5-10 seconds he will leave your site in 90%.

Also keep in mind. 99% of my visitors are coming "direct" because they saw our videos and liked them enough to prompt a visit. So they are aware of our concept. We stripped the site down because people were spending too much time just watching previews rather than buying.

But I'm interested in your input.

If anyone else has input on minimizing confusion - or anything else to improve the site, please share.

Maybe just a little slogan prominently on the top left. Several studies (especially those of the Nielsen Norman Group) show that the eyes will first stop at the top and left.

Maybe on the top left something like Casting Erotic Videos or anything else that is short and clear.

And under the slogan (always top left), a bulleted list saying:

• 100% real modeling auditions,
• Aspiring Models doing Porn,
• Nasty things happen during our Modeling Auditions. ;)

You can probably make two websites and try to sell it with two models at the same time.

1) loved the design. Clean, minimalistic and usage of gradient colors - plus.

2) The call to action button on the home page - when hovers it throws a white color which hides the text written on the button.

user may not know what he is actually clicking.

3) site loading - loads the image in the background - very slow. Need to use a light weight image - use a cdn to serve the media files.
