Is it the one where they try to get you to pay a sum via untraceable transaction systems? |
Shap, can you describe what you saw in a little more detail ?
Was it something that locked up your browser and demanded a payment ? Or something else ? |
PaySafeCard is not a scam. It's an alternative way to pay for adult goods and services. Which planet have you guys been on lol. Backpage uses it too for escorts to pay for their ads since mc visa stopped processing for them. Its like a prepaid Visa card.

Yes, I have seen it.
There is a popup that shows to mobile users telling them they are guilty of viewing CP or bestiality and that you must pay a fine via Paysafecard to be forgiven. |
It's bad advertisers, they come in and set up some dummy campaigns to get approved and then when they think no one is watching, they flip it and increase their bids to soak up as much volume as possible before they get found out and banned. They also load accounts with stolen credit card information as well so they hit the networks double, 1. for tons of traffic/fuck over the users and 2. the traffic is all free because you have to refund the cards or get the charge back.

I think Ross nailed it. Clearly it's an advertiser on both of those sites and targeted only for uk traffic.
On Xhamster i got a popup that said i was breaking UK Article 161 and the only way to get out of it was to send £100 by paysafecard. You can't get out of the popup loop with that msg unless you quit the browser. On Youporn it was on a mobile. Clicked a close ad button on the search page and exact same msg came up. Two different devices same result. Definitely an advertiser on both abusing the system. |

See what Ross said.. Add to it; if you can tell what ad network it's coming from let them know with as detail as possible. and they should be able to weed it out quickly. Site, type of ad, Device, OS, Browser, GEO, url of ad. |
This is amusing.
Those of you who know how the original mansef/manwin/mindgeek empire was originally funded will see the irony of this. |
