Hi guys,

Just wanted to let you all in on something new we?ve been trying with regard to our successful CrakRevenue Survey lineup.

We made a Political-themed survey on US politics (with incentivized PORN rewards at the end), designed to engage and target a more opinion-oriented aspect of your audience.

Our Media Buying team just tested a campaign out the other day on some of the big tubes?and from the early results we?re seeing, we gotta say, we are very happy with them (considering this is a different concept we?re trying out here)

You know what they say ? everyone has an opinion. And so many want to make theirs known.

Throw some politics into the mix? and BAM!

It may initially sound unorthodox, but it?s really the perfect recipe to ensure user-engagement which results in conversions.

After 3 days of testing?

• 55,200 Uniques sent to Survey
• ~3400 responses
• 4.17% CTR on our Prelander page
• Up to $4.50 ECPM on US POP campaigns

Note: This was a test in one of our optimizer campaigns -- it consisted of random US sources and no specific, nor targeted banner campaigns

Right now, this is for US traffic only. If you visit from any other country you will be redirected.

Whoa!!! i hope the female voting will change the trend

trump at 42%

Very interesting, to see something different. Obama no more popular it seems.
My notes:

- Do not just allow male and female as choice, put 4 of them: straiight male, straight female, gay male, lesbian female. Who knows if gay have put male or female otherwise?

- How old are you, 18-25 = 18%, this includes probably lots of under 18, who obviously have not, or do not want, a choice to specify they are underage. You may allow the form to pick any age WITHOUT warning this is a for adults only thing, so many may be honest and pick right age, then you redirect these later. If you start surgey as "you need to be 18+" the underage will immediately know they must answer 18+ instead.

- It would be interesting to link age ranges with answers, like, what % of young guys like Trump and what % of old guys like him, and same about liking obama or gun control. Also with political interest, who like trump is who got lots of interests in politics, or who does not care to it?

- I would ask at the end: "do you like anal sex?" :)

Break out the data by country code -- only US IP addresses are relevant to the stats.

The idea of capturing interest with US politics is a good one for CTR.

A smack the US political candidate (HTML5) game might do better -- their heads would pop up like wack-a-mole. Random head smack is a redirect to your landing page.

We should send some of our polling data over to FOX/MSNBC/CNN ;)

"Well Wolf, we're seeing those most active on porn sites want The Donald to win. They want trump. 42% strong, our Porn Survey data shows"

Great feedback & ideas!

The problem with this is, it is a Porn Survey in the end, with very adult-oriented rewards so we'd need to be careful about giving the option, or encouraging those who may be younger to participate.

But who knows, there may be something to this redirection idea. I'll share this feedback with the team. :) Thanks! :thumbsup
