just an observation. On a more serious note, why do people who are on the left politically spout so much shit? I don't really have much time for politics and the immense bullshit, lies, spin, gotchas, self-service, long forgotten ideals, and the absolute fucking charade that politicians and sadly, most of the general public, actually believe is achieving something by them being in that position. That said, how is it it always seems to be the so-called liberals that are the ones who have very little tolerance, and end up as trolls much like retarded christians who wish you to an eternity of hell once their ridiculous claims are met with actual reason?

I was what you cool kids in the (apparently great, according to Rochard) US of A call a republican back when I was a dumb 16 - 25 year old with fuck all life experience but a self-important black-or-white ideaology, though soon realised that politics is a sham much like religion, designed to keep the idiots infighting, and to keep them under control. Seems most here are the same, or at least jaded if not outright enraged by the whole farce, and can at least see things objectively - unless they are democrats.

Any ideas why they are such a funny old bunch?

1. Nobody can argue leftism superiority talking logically because leftism is inferior for quality society. So they always spout ridiculous arguments, often twist everything and so on.
2. One must be dumb enough to genuinely think that leftism is superior ideology and dumb people rarely argue using logical arguments.

In the USA, it is the extremes that are shouting the loudest. Both sides sound very stupid at this point. This might be because we lack real pressing issues. People are pretty well off and the economy is doing well so politics is now a "football match."

I should leave the UK, or leave gfy? I see a hell of a lot of things that make me think the usa isn't that great, just like I don't think the UK is great. Being born in a particular place, and brought up there, well, I don't use that as the sole basis making my place of birth 'great'.

I get on great with tons of americans, tons of UK people, tons of insert_nationailty_here... what I can't wrap my head around sometimes though, is the kinda blinkered view some people have of their place of birth. That's not to say I think the usa is shitty, far from it.

imo all politicians suck, especially those in power, whose ideals have long gone, either by external or internal influences... so in turn they do a shitty job making their respective countries 'great'. I do pretty well, I have this thing, that item, work when I want, a roof, bed, meals, a mercedes, cellphone, internet, and so on and so on. But my personal situation doesn't change the fact that there are homeless people over here - fucking homeless, in the UK, in 2015... what the fuck. Pensioners die every year here because they literally cannot afford to heat their homes. Mental, as in actually mental, people don't get the care they need because of cutbacks and closures, and kill themselves or some other poor random cunt minding their own business in their back garden.

We held the Olympics, put on a great display, produce great music, fashion, innovation, and a ton of other great stuff, but we are far from being 'great'. If someone calls the UK a shithole I'm inclined to agree with them, not come out fighting with my chest puffed out because they 'dissed' some dot on a map of the earth where I was born. Blame the media. You have to be extreme or outrageous to get media coverage, so even if the issue itself isn't one or the other they spin their rhetoric about it to be extreme or outrageous. Both parties, not just left or just right.
