Yes. Ordered it. Will test it out for 2 weeks and decide whether to keep or return (apple great return policy).

Will most likely keep it for these reasons.
1. main function my phone serves me is photo/videos. I don't use a camera I use my phone for all footage I take of our family travels. So a better camera is a good enough reason for me to upgrade.

2. 3d touch looks to be a new phone experience. I invest in startups that build apps. I'm also currently looking to build a few apps. Knowing and understanding where the app business (and the experience of consuming apps) is going is very important to me.

Are the two of you getting the 6s or 6s Plus? I am well aware that the 6 outsold the 6 Plus about 10:1 and despite handling hundreds of devices I can't help but wanting the 6 Plus despite being cumbersome. Getter PPI, better battery life, and better for viewing content; rather than carrying around an iPad all day.

It's just that I always use a case (I haven't shattered a phone yet) and by then it's to holster an iPhone 6s in normal clothes or the use of an external bag is required.

I bought the 6 and 6 plus when they came out and tried both. I went with the 6. This time i went with 6s. My wife has the plus and while i love the size for consuming content I hate the size for what i use the phone for the most. Main functions of the phone for me are texting, photo taking, email. I like to do each of those with ease with one hand. The 6 plus is a two handed device. So for my wife both the 6 and 6 plus are a two handed device might as well take the bigger one. My preference is that ability to text and take a photo with one hand. It's very tricky to do that with the 6plus.

I wanted to get the thoughts from a power user.

6 is a safe bet, I'd probably develop buyers remorse from the portability of the 6s Plus shortly after getting one.

No. No more iPhones in our household.

Seems Apple put out some kind of update, and it's more or less made my kid's phone a brick. We have two iPhones and two Samsung Galaxys. The only phones we ever have problems with are the iPhones. Cracked screens, software updates, batteries not able to charge, and the new chargers they only seem to last a month.

I like the IPhone and still use my old 4 for testing websites and such. But I wouldn't give up my 21 megapixle camera (from Sony who makes the amazing IPhone camera), convenience of swapping in and out 128 gig micro sd cards and the fun of some underwater photography.

Almost forgot, since I'm in Canada service is expensive, and the dual sim allows me to use an iPad dataplan in my second sim slot giving me data for $10/gig rather than about $80 for a 1 gig plan I'd get on a single sim phone.

I read the other day that they are doing away with the standard 3.5mm headphone jack.. lol That is one screwed up company. They change their chargers and other shit often so you will have to go out and but THEIR new shit.

I'll stick to my removable battery, USB port, 32gig micro SD card, and standard 3.5mm headphone.

I ordered the Plus this time around, I will give it a test run for a few weeks and move to the 6s if I don't.

I've gotten used to the 6, but prefer the size of the 5. If I'm going to be carrying something that size, I might as well give the big one a try and see how it goes.

The 6 with a defender case works well for me, no complaints here.

It'll be a while but apps will take use of the force touch. The only downside is it could have a steep learning curve for some people, old mostly.
