Windows 10 is deleting pirated games and software (proof)
 

Is it just Microsoft games and software?
Why would they protect other companies without payment?
Is it all software, how do they know it's pirated. Is the keygen the trigger?

I'll never use an OS that does that. ever since my kindle fire that deleted my personal notes without notice saying it violated copyright...

Totally understandable if its true. Even the guy in the video doesn't get it. One of the first things he says is "I'm a pirate", then tries to justify it by saying "I just steal software for personal use". Geeezuz..

If Microsoft has come up with a way to prevent people from using software they haven't paid for, good for Microsoft.

I suspect this will backfire and the majority of people will end up using a cracked version of Windows 10

I love how he justifies stealing software because, "Oh, I don't use it for anything big. Just personal use, I don't sell anything" - then he goes on bitching about how he was trying to use a pirated version of Adobe Premiere. The guy has an entire Youtube channel that he probably makes money from, that he used pirated software to edit the videos. Can you smell the hypocrisy? Well the dude reeks of it.

I personally don't care if Windows deletes everyone pirated shit. Deletes movies, songs, and uninstalls software. A lot of our design / development competition will be crippled by having to buy licensed software once in their lives.

Short version: the clause in the Microsoft EULA about allowing them to disable counterfeit games and unauthorized hardware is for Xbox and Xbox Live (plus Windows games where MS is the publisher), not Windows.

You should be able to use any software, images or videos you find on the net for whatever purpose. Especially pop-ups like pop-up cash.

It's just one of reason why our society is becoming more dystopian. Software like this takes away from our freedom. It doesn't matter whether you choose to pirate or not. It's about choice. This is just one more step towards Big Brother controlling us like mindless robots, telling us what we like, what we should wear, what we should think, what we should do. It's wrong.

Take it one step further. People in general nowdays spend more time shying away from human interaction as it is. That's why malls are shutting down across the US. People shop online because of convenience rather than going to the mall in their city. Kids rather play games on their ipads/phones or talk to their friends by texting than going outside to play or interact. People would rather text than talk to someone over the phone. When you call most businesses today, you are greeted with an automated telephone system. Most people bank online rather than going to the banks. Our society is becoming more cold, human to human interaction is becoming less frequent, we are becoming more mindless...

Doesn't matter if it's for your own personal use...the author/creator of the movie/game/software probably DID spend a lot of time and money producing the item.

If you use it...watch it...or play it...and did not pay for it then you are stealing it.
