Microsoft Outlook 2016 unusable?

I upgraded Outlook the other night and it's been miserable. Very very slow, incredible lag when trying to view emails or flip through emails. Some Google searches show me that others are seeing the same thing, but I have not found a solution.

Are you seeing the same?

Have you found any workarounds?

This is on PC, I have not tried on Mac.

After the last .PST crash a year ago, I quit using Outlook altogether. If you have more than 200-300 emails downloaded, Outlook has always lagged -- especially if you have a lot of file attachments. At least for me it has. And Thunderbird isn't any better. It's all webmail for me until they release a stable email client.

LOL. People still use Outlook... for email?

I use Gmail. Freaking awesome. Does everything I need. I've been using it for years now. I can pull up every email sent to me since 2004 or 2005. Freaking amazing.

Don't think I've seen Outlook for at least 10 years....Probably more.

EDIT: Fuck....I see the retard who posted just before me feels the same way. Maybe I should go back to Outlook.

I'm a little confused as to how the guys that don't use Outlook are hating on Outlook. ;-)

I moved from Gmail to Outlook. Outlook is better than Gmail. Maybe your needs are minimal? Not sure what to tell you there.

Back to the topic at hand, if you have not upgraded to Outlook 2016, don't do it quite yet.

How can you use gmail if you have more then one email?

Could be the fact that it's a piece of shit mail client that helps open you up to viruses...

Could also be because it's a Microsoft product. :winkwink:

Well... one of us had malware issues recently...

Gmail can handle multiple email addresses okay, but I don't like how it handles them. Outlook handles them better for what I like. I also like the calendar better and a few other integrations.

Gmail is a fine service if you like it. I don't like it. Which is why I use Outlook.

I also prefer Photoshop over Gimp and Logic over Garageband.

How does a server hack from a plugin exploit relate to an email client?

Why are we discussing gmail?

Stay on topic son....:glugglug

Fucking Aaron is still the same ruthless, provoking prick persona that I remember him as. You need to stick around and not disappear so often. :2 cents::winkwink:

We all used to use Outlook. Why use software when you can use something online? Never loose an email again, and log in from any machine.

I am a power user - I usually have email up in two different screens.

Are you on POP or IMAP? I can see how POP would slow you down of you have a lot of accounts and mail in each one.
