NASA releases over 9000 fake photos!

Pretty cool ones, too!

NASA just released 9,200 Apollo mission photos that will change how you see space - Business Insider

EddyTheDog 10-03-2015 10:24 AM

That should keep the CNs busy for a while...

I don't believe they have photoshop back then.

Instead what they would have done was staged the picture - not too hard to do on a movie set or even in the desert at night.

I don't believe any of this was fake. Tens of thousands of people were involved with NASA - too many people to have faked it.

Google is very useful, use it to do research and find info like this:

even an idiot with pea size brain can see that all the pictures of astronauts on the moon are fake. how did that picture and astronauts survive with temps variation from plus 253 degrees F to minus 243 F . what about radiation?? doesnt look like those suits have radiation protection

SekobA 10-05-2015 08:40 AM

I'm not conspiracy guy, nor do I think the moon landings were faked.
What confuses me is in a picture like the one below, wouldn't the picture just float away with no gravity?

First off, here?s the physics. Earth is not the only thing with gravity. The moon exerts a gravitational force on things, but it just exerts less force, mostly because it?s just got less stuff. Stuff attracts stuff, and so less stuff will attract other stuff less strongly. If you drop a pen, it will fall slowly, because the acceleration due to gravity is weaker. Earth is far away, but that doesn?t really matter ? when you are on the surface of the moon, the gravitational attraction of the moon is stronger than that of the earth. That?s why the astronauts could jump very high on the moon. You would weigh less on the moon than you do on the earth. If the astronauts jumped really really really hard, they could float away from the moon. The same is true on the earth (but to jump that hard, you need rockets, and that?s what the space shuttle does).

Myth: The astronauts didn?t float away because they had heavy boots

I never claimed to. I know jack shit about photography, never cared for it. I just asked a question.

So if you can explain, you should do so, instead of acting like a smug asshole.

The suits are properly insulated, have radiation protection and cost 20 million of US dollars per.

There is gravity on the moon, since it has mass. Otherwise the astronauts would have floated off into space when they were jumping around there.

Not as strong as on Earth though.

No gravity? Are you serious? :) There is a gravity on the Moon. Its acceleration = 1.62 m/s^2 which is about 17% from the Earth's one. So your weight (not mass) will be 6x times less there and you can jump 6x times higher.

There were 2 astronauts on the first moon landing at the same time: Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin

Either one took the photos.

Either one took the photos.

Or it's on a robot.

Or it's on a tripod with timer.

I'm sure we could think of half a dozen other explanations.

Love this pic!

I am by no means a conspiracy theorist, and I do understand that there is gravity on the moon; But how is the flag floating in the "No Wind" atmosphere? Curious.

I do believe this trip happened, I do believe that man walked on the moon and I do have a good understanding of science.

My reasonable "Non Conspiracy" explanation would be that the flag had wires in it to make it visible to photos. A flexing of the flag I guess.

I guess I answered my own question. lol
