FBI, ATF Issue Safety Warning to Philadelphia Area Colleges Read more: http://www.nbcphiladelphia.c

The FBI and the ATF issued an alert to all Philadelphia area colleges and universities because of a social media threat.

The FBI released the following statement on the online threat:

Out of an abundance of caution, the FBI Philadelphia Field Office notified local colleges and universities of a social media posting which threatened violence at a Philadelphia-area college or university for Monday, October 5.

The recent Oregon shooter was a 26 year old male living with his mother, had no friends, wore military camo's, was flunked out of the Army, and drum roll ... talked of how "he was frustrated about being a virgin unable to find a girlfriend.”

"Before his death, though, Harper-Mercer terrorized the classroom, telling some of his victims to crawl across the floor as he shot them, and killing another after telling her to beg for her life, the Associated Press reports.

What we are seeing is a pattern of young male losers righting perceived wrongs done to them. Guns are just the first step with these mental cases. They want to escalate body counts for the attention they never had and I think some pretty big explosions are coming.

And in this social media and youtube age, they all get so much attention and coverage in the media, it just fuels guys like this to go out in "infamy". And not sure how you prevent them from getting what they want in that case.
