US Plans To Scale Down Syria Plan
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world...f92_story.html
Looks like Russia put them off with a very audacious move. Good to see they saw some sense, the US had no business there. |
That's their way of saying they're planning a false flag
|
Maybe Im naïve but I think they just had the sense to understand Russia has been allied with Syria for a long time and is building a base there for donkeys years and there's no point in starting WWIII.
|
If we cut in half the rebel training, what's the one rebel suppose to do by himself?
|
This is what I've been saying for some time now - Syria is a Russian problem, and needs to be handled by the Russians. The United States government has failed to learn from it's past mistakes, and needs to move away from trying to replace Middle Eastern governments it doesn't like. Instead, we have been trying to fight ISIS while arming other groups inside of Syria who are trying to take down Assad.
We need to take out ISIS, and in order to do this we need to be helping Assad, not fighting against him. Removing Assad would only lead to another disaster in the Middle East. |

IS in Syria is everyone's problem. this isn't a retreat, it's a change in strategy and a regrouping.
and the USA won't ever be helping Assad. ever fucking ever. and putin/ruskies don't give 1 single fuck about Assad and by many accounts, would remove him from power if they ever got control there. and in fact, the ruskies wanted to remove him back in 2012. |
Good. Stay the fuck out of it completely.

the new U.S. effort would seek to enable Syrian rebels in much the way the United States had helped Kurdish forces to successfully battle Islamic State in Syria. The United States announced on Friday it would overhaul its failed efforts to support moderate Syrian rebels battling Islamic State, saying it would provide arms and equipment to vetted rebel leaders and their units. The U.S. announcement marked the effective end to a short-lived multimillion-dollar program to train and equip units of fighters at sites outside of Syria, after that program's disastrous launch this year fanned criticism of President Barack Obama's war strategy. Future training will be greatly scaled back, with the apparent U.S. focus on providing weaponry. U.S. changes tack on support to Syria rebels after failed training push | Reuters |
Sure .....
They are letting go the so-called FSA ( Free Syrian Army ) and will support with arms the SAC ( Syria Arab Coalition ) .... In short, USA will support 5000 islamist terrorists against a secular government, mainly now that Russia is involved . Just a repeat of Afghanistan .... The "change in plans" has been going on for some time and reflects the fact the arms we have been supplying the rebels have been moving with 'defectors' to isil. The announcement reflects acts that have already happened. Not yet to happen.
I think it is about time for the Russians to have TARGETS on their backs instead of ours as this will escalate and cause turmoil elsewhere at there borders. Everything has a cost ! |
There's no good there, only bad and worse. Let Russia to it, maybe work with them for once and send some coordinates of IS targets for them to take out.

scale down? that article states they're just gonna hand money directly to present 'moderate' rebels |

Ask yourself this.
Which is better for the us? Unstable middle east or stable middle east I'm thinking us wants it Unstable and all is going to plan. |

China has decided to enter the fray. A cruiser and aircraft carrier are moving into the Suez Canal by way of the Med. Sea to join the Russians for a little taste of the action. Finally, good Chinese food in the middle east.

looks like washington post made a mistake, they posted the story in the wrong category:
/world/national-security/ should be in /national/economics/ |
There's an inane delusion by Western Politicians that all they need to do to make countries like Syria safe and "normal". Is to get rid of the evil man or few men at the top.
What they turn a blind eye to is the millions of people, in these countries who support those men. The 100,000s prepared to pick up a gun and kill for the evil men. And the 100,000s who are prepared to kill, to put their evil man in charge. Putin is the type of person who understands how it works. Kill the opposition before it kills you. Bush, Blair, Obama, Cameron, Corbyn, Merkel, and a a few more live in a land where it only needs Dorothy to kill the Wicked Witch of the East. To make everything come right. Here's the ultimate irony, we vote for these idiots. |
Russian nuke strategic forces have a saying: "nobody after as". However I think those have a chance to survive:
Yes, they are being trained to survive and fight after the doom's day. Hope the Americans are ready too, so it will be a fair-play :) |
Uh... I really believe I don't disclosure a military secret now. The Russian army have injections which allow a soldier to be fully functional after a 100x of the deadly radioactive exposure. He will have 2-3 days to accomplish his mission which is more than enough to move to another continent and kill those who survived. Course they will die after that, but not immediately. They'll have 2-3 days to do their job.
