Videos on the 1st pages of major tubes

How are the videos for the 1st pages of the major tubes are chosen? Before they were showing the latest submitted videos, but now there is a bunch of videos that rotate through the 1st page. Is it a paid spot now, like an ad, or is there a trick how to get there?

hi Kesha, depends on what tube. you need a content provider account and a certain length (different for each tube site).

brassmonkey 10-10-2015 06:17 PM

stolen first! :1orglaugh:winkwink:

j3rkules 10-11-2015 04:12 AM

Which tubes exactly?

kesha1 10-11-2015 05:51 AM

All the major ones: xvideos, pornhub, redtube, etc.
Submitting to them doesn't give much exposure anymore, number of views is very low, not what it use to be before. Having a video on a 1st page gives thousands of views right away, so, obviously the newly submitted videos don't go to the 1st page, that's why I wonder how they or their scripts choose which ones to place on their 1st pages.

Some are sorted by CTR, some are sorted by date, some are sorted by views per the publish date, and some are simply manually set daily (based on what they think looks good or what someone paid them to place). Thumbs on the big tubes are also typically chosen or even created manually as well.

I'm not saying much because I don't want to get in trouble, but if you're friends with someone who runs a tube, your chances to be on page 1 are much higher... :x

kesha1 10-11-2015 07:43 AM

As I expected...
So, the question is: where to make such friends?

I don't know.. Last time it happened to me a big tube guy said "Hey, can you get some blogs up for my new project?" and I said "Maybe later, I have to get to work" and he said "Nah, I'll hire you full time instead, quit that job."... :upsidedow

Is this the only way? I seems like some producers were finding the "ways" on several of those tubes at the same time...

Ribbet Hog 10-12-2015 12:04 PM

Some im sure could be chosen by the tube site webmaster... Like any good site you can configure anyway you want...

I know exactly how they were made and how they grew so big, and someone pretty much explained everything here before, but.. :x

And no, it's more common for them to know you or hear about you by being really good at what they're hiring for at the time if you're just a regular webmaster like me. Other than that, make friends at shows..

iSpyCams 10-12-2015 12:07 PM

The req's are crazy based on early analysis, they want partner account plus min length plus revshare account in your aff program plus exclusivity plus high quality and good user reviews just for a start.

Obviously they are in a position to demand all of that so it says a lot about where the traffic is.

I think for a lot of people it may be a high price to pay, and maybe more about branding and getting your name recognized than actual real-time ROI, but then all the high paid ad spaces usually are. (Super Bowl, prime time TV, etc.)

Oh, really? Good, let's make a new one. Could you please send me a link to that post that explains everything?

Nah, I'm done with that...

There's no point, anyways, tubes are different now where they use their traffic and branding to trick other companies into thinking that they need that kind of exposure to make money. Some do with a few other reasons, but most lose money and don't even realize it. And those idiots keep giving in and helping the problem.. :(

LeRoy 10-12-2015 01:50 PM

Attending shows would be your best bet.

kesha1 10-12-2015 02:02 PM

The last one we've had a booth at was Erotica LA..., does it even exist still? )

You need to go to B2B shows not consumer shows.

kesha1 10-12-2015 05:18 PM

Ok. Where can I find the list of all the upcoming b2b shows in L.A.?

And if the videos get a couple billion views, they'll make you a cake.. :winkwink:

kesha1 10-13-2015 09:22 AM

nah..., I don't think this is necessary the case..., some videos on a first pages are pretty crappy, and a lot of them are simply stolen...
There is something else out there...

PR_Glen 10-13-2015 10:19 AM

check us out at paidperview.com We can get you good listings with us anyway.

kesha1 10-14-2015 06:55 PM

You'll go down a rabbit hole if you believe this conspiracy theory.
As little as 3 years ago, 1st page content was heavily manually curated, but it's mostly auto now, because of the sheer volume of content submissions that come in.

Aside from a handful of tubes, most "stolen" content does not get featured on the first page.

What you see as crappy videos, are most-likely content the tubes have licensed, which consists of a lot of older material. They get it cheap, and it looks good posting full scenes/movies

The rest are submissions from content partner programs.

It's easy enough to test. Simply upload some videos as a normal user. Then upload the same videos as a content partner. You will notice your normal user uploads do not get as many plays.

That's not to say the pirated stuff can never get featured. It just happens less.

So the tube algo's basically prefer CPP, mix in their own content, and once in a while, puts up a user upload.

YES, there is a manual override where the tube webmaster can feature your content more, but they'll do that not so much that you are friends, but your content is good. <--- this is critical. Think about it: you work at a tube and start featuring your buddy's crappy content on the mainpage, and get a bunch of complaining visitors. Your boss is not going to like that/

When you see traffic being redirected to vids on major tubes, you know the handwriting is on the wall.

How to upload videos as a content partner?
I don't have user and pass, because I'm not owner of sponsor program.

freecartoonporn 07-23-2016 10:46 PM

dif sites use diff techniques explained bu\y konrad , most of the tube are on auto pilot and lots of videos gets published daily, so they use alogrithm ,
using these factors.
video views, video length, upvotes, downvotes, added to favorites , GEO of users.

i have seen xvideos add geo specific videos too in main page.

Paul Markham 07-24-2016 03:30 AM

Unless you click to see a certain order. They're the best videos. Even if paid for people who produce crap content, don't have the money to pay for spots. Same as the TGP days.
