Wow IMDb rating 8.8!

Vikings over on the History Channel has been such a success in generating interest in histortorical programming and has been fairly accurate as well with its portrayal of Viking culture. This series being based off of Bernard Cornwells books gives me high hopes for what's to come. Bernard's series has been so far a true masterpiece!

Made by the BBC, so might even have some real history in it.
I laugh at how bad the Americans are at portraying history. |
Just watched the first episode. Very good, keeps the Bernard Cornwell's theme of the time and people. The only part I could fault it on was Brida washing, they weren't very keen of washing in those days.
Did vision Uhtred to be a bit bigger and scrawnier though. This one is too pretty. LOL Great series and makes an attempt to show the times as they were. Great scene with king Ethelred who was sure God would save him from the arrows. Then changed his mind. |

Still, its quite good entertainment :thumbsup |
As we are talking about good TV. Watching American crime and it's bloody fantastic. Just real drama about people who are real, no drop dead gorgeous people, bad sex scenes, or false drama.
Goes into the gut wrenching consequences on ordinary people. Whose family members are involved in crimes that happen. The twist of the African woman claiming Allah as her people God is brilliant. Arabs were great slavers during the time Africans were shipped to the New World. Also enjoying Orphan Black, one could imagine this happening. |
i saw the first 2 episodes looks good so far
