What I've heard a lot of is:

iPhones are great for the simple and easy to pick up user interface. Also, apps run smoother and battery life is generally better than most Android devices.

Galaxy phones (and most other Android phones) are known for a wider range of customizations. More apps are available on the Play Store than the App Store. Widgets!

I wouldn't get either.

I've am off iphones, I used to have the 5 and it was OK but things about it used to about me.
As for Samsung x I won't buy one of their products, every thing I have had broke quickly or was faulty.

I prefer Android...
