Same here. Slow to load at first but after that, fast.

Slow from UK; looks like you're rocking PHP somewhere. Have you got access to install an OpCode Cacher like Zend (PHP) OpCache or xCache? Apparently took 5 seconds just to drag the homepage down; let alone the plugins and embeds.

W3C Validators are useful too - few easy-to-fix CSS and HTML errors which should speed things up, when fixed:
