FACT: NFL is the most exciting spectator sport ever.

Let's face it, no other sport comes close. Maybe those Roman guys, gladiators, come in a close second. Distant 2nd really.

SBJ 10-18-2015 06:00 PM

My Cardinals lost today so I don't want to talk about football but yes I love the sport :thumbsup

watching the colts vs pats and I hope both teams lose :2 cents:

Cardinals gave that game away. Quite a few mistakes, especially that interception when Fitzgerald was open.

L-Pink 10-18-2015 06:15 PM

With 12 games in so far I have only missed 2 in the local betting pool. I'll probably win without Monday's game mattering. Might win 18-19 bucks this week, lol.

That's a game I lost, Who thought a guy who never threw a pro pass would come off the bench and kick ass.

Vick will be #3 going forward. Jones showed up and killed it. Some beautiful passes and reads.

yup both losses they've had was them giving it away. I really hope Palmer doesn't turn into the turnover QB of 2 years ago :disgust

When our team is on we are a scoring machine (offense and defense) but when we are off.. well we suck

btw who is your team?

Tough weekend to be a Harbaugh coach, fucking Ravens were my other miss.

Yesterday's Michigan game ending was a stunner.

That game was pretty much an automatic win for the Card's. Hell of a first NFL game for the kid.

That one player blew the coverage and that seems the have been a game changer. I didn't get to see this match up but caught the high/low lights.

Forgot to add I've been fortunate enough to catch a game or 3 in uop stadium!!!

Rob 10-18-2015 06:34 PM

I'm a huge NFL fan, but it's starting to wear thin on me. 1) the amount of commercials they take. It takes 3 1/2 hours to watch a 60 minute game. It's like this: a play, a play, a play, a play...five commercials. A play, a timeout, five commercials. Then add the 2 minute warning, official's timeouts, challenges, injury timeouts, TV timeouts (they really have these), and so on. I usually Tivo the games and play back without commercials.

And 2) the rule changes are turning it into a pussy sport, but also letting the refs dictate the outcome. A guy bumps into a receiver and it's holding with an automatic first down? You can call holding on every single play, but they only call them for big plays or critical ones.

And don't get me started on the lack of hitting. Penalized for tacking a QB is stretching it a bit. Pretty soon they're going to put flags on the QB and if you touch him, you're automatically suspended for 10 games.

That's rivers though, big stats and still loses.

Hah, I liked those uniforms, very Michigan. And Michigan is very Cal, and Cal is my alma mater and where Aaron Rodgers played ball, which is a big readon why i like the pack, so it comes full circle!

People are constantly asking me if I've seen this game or that game. The answer is always no.

I love football. Great sport, lots of fun, but I cannot sit there and stare at a TV for three hours without going crazy. There are a lot of distractions at the game itself so going to a game is fun because you have things to do during the breaks, but at home? I'll pass. The score will be the same whether I spent three hours in front of a TV or not.

I don't disagree. I was so soured at the beginning of the season, I passed on a some ff leagues I've played for quite a while. I needed a step back after deflate gate, blah blah etc, off season bullshit. Fortunately, the game eclipses those dramas.

Blow that shit off and chillax, and watch and enjoy NFL
;)

The last time I caught a cardinals game live was 2009 season my sister had 2 season tickets. I flew out in sept and then again over new years.. Also caught a Phx Suns game over new years. I need to plan another vacation out there soon!

Do you have the NFL package? they have a thing on mondays called "Game shorts" or something. It's the game in 30 mins. Every play and call they just remove the huddles, commercials, reviews, and any other game delays.. It blew my mind to be able to watch 3 whole games in 1.5 hours.

dyna mo 10-18-2015 07:09 PM

yup I love the stadium! This was our seats. I thought my sister and bro inlaw should've kept the season tickets the next year. BTW the funny thing is I live in Indiana and this game was against the indy colts. I had no idea who the cards were playing but everyone at the game called me a colts fan cause I was there from indiana.

nope I hate baseball but do love hockey and have caught a handful of Coyotes games. Hockey is one of those games it's so much better to watch in person

L-Pink 10-18-2015 08:01 PM

What in the HELL did Indy just do? Besides turn the ball over and probably lose the game???

Paul Markham 10-19-2015 03:14 AM

The edited high lights are good. The actual games suck. to much nothing happening moments fills in by the never ending stats twaddle from commentators.

But don't listen to me - I watched whole days' worth of Tour De France and Vuelta and thought it was entertaining.

When it comes to American sports, the NFL seems to have it going on.

Baseball bores me to death. Too slow. I like basketball myself, shoot hoops every morning, but it's just the same same same thing over and over again.

I totally agree with this! Somehow playing for 30 seconds then waiting for 30 seconds repeatedly isn't so fun for me to watch.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate football. It just feels a little slow. I did catch the Michigan State v. Michigan game... that last play was fucking miraculous to me. How often does this shit happen?!

that type of situation and result was rare. according to espn michigan state had a 0.2% chance of winning that game before that play happened.

That was a pee-wee league play at best. How embarrassing to even call that play when playing the Super Bowl champs.

Bellichik was otr pre-game stating he knew it was going to be a gadget game, he had his team ready for that sort of chicanery. i happen to like the coach's call, i think it could have worked, it was poorly executed which means it was prolly also poorly coached in practice. but i can understand the strategerizing, it's going to take trickery like that for the Colts to beat the Patriots.
