Legal site vs Pirate site Who makes more money ?
 

Lets say there are 2 mainstream sites ,


1 is legal content site using adsense or some other high paying ad network
while
other is pirate site using exoclick or such ad network

both are having same traffic and from same countries.
both having same alexa .
both are using adspace only for revenue generation.

who makes more money ? and why ?

imho legal site wins with adsense ads.

Google pays more... by a factor of like 100

The problem on the pirate sites is more simple generate traffic...but if you have the same traffic the non-pirate one will have more revenue.

i am not sure about if its easy for pirate sites to generate traffic , after all isnt it same as adult, too many sites out there and thats why difficult to rank. ?

The legal site may make more cash coming in, but not more revenue.

You gotta to take into account cost as well. How much did the legal site pay for the content? The pirate site pays nothing for the content. Maybe paying for bandwidth and hosting, That is it.

okie., i get your point.

there is cost of content.

but lets just say the legal site is based on open content i.e. free to share and monetize content.

then i guess lagal site is the win.
