Is aXXX.com domain worth more than $2500?
I have been out of adult for a bit, got an email out of the blue someone wants to buy my domain "aXXX.com" for $2500.
It's just parked, never really got to use it. I always thought it's worth 5 figures on the high side,$5k+ on the low side. Would you take that deal? |
4 letter .com's are big right now. the chinese love them. I'd hold out for 5k personally.
|
I'd ask at least $5k for it too :pimp

well i just sold a LLLL.com (meaningless to me, even considered dropping it, nothing specific about LLLL on google) to a chinese for $500 few weeks ago :thumbsup
|
I would take 2500$ and run away fast as you can.
|
Ask them for a week - Stick it up all over the place - If you get no bites then see post above...
|
Take the money and run ...

They are buying those weird domains to bypass the great wall :-) I have clients from china with weird domains like 55ab.xxx or 99re.com and they have like 500k visitors :-) They change the domain like every 2-3 months...

Of course most of the bids flying around these days are 100% FAKE. However, there's no doubt that LLLL.COM has gone up in value.
It seems that they have a base around $1k today but can go higher depending on the combination. They seem to be trending up but consider that if the US stock market crashes next year, which a lot of people are expecting then values could come tumbling down. The Chinese are investing especially now that their currency RMB was recently devalued by the government and some people anticipate more moves to the downside and hence it is a smart move to invest in hard assets. Domains aren't exactly hard assets, they're really intangible but some people see value in a diversification into them especially as they can carry value and basically are convenient to buy as you can do it without leaving your home. However, there are now also limits to how much money Chinese people can take abroad (capital controls) and so you can expect even more purchase interest from Chinese buyers. By the way, the same kind of capital controls exist for the Indian population and there is a serious internet START UP craze happening in India right now so you can expect interest from Indians too. CVCV.COM (consonant vowel consonant vowel) and VCVC.COM (vowel consonant vowel consonant) are a lot more valuable especially if they are pronounceable. If you let me know what you have I will be happy to give you an appraisal - FREE OF CHARGE! |

I bought a couple of LLLL domains on flippa for below $100 not too long ago. There are about 26,000 available right now on flippa. Most will be lucky to clock low $$$.

I sent you a pm

take the money....

How badly do you need this asset liquidated? If you can hold, I'd consider holding it. But if you want it gone and could use the cash, go ahead and liquidate it. :) Good luck.

Well, obviously, the secret name of God has 4 letters, (tetragramaton) and if uttered will unmake creation. So once God's secret domain name resolves to the holy secret IP address, (which would have to be a part of Pi), it will unmake the internet, paving the way for the Glorious People's Republic to build the glorious people's new internet on it's ashes.
I better get some more coffee. |
