I am forced to buy bitcoins - help?

I have no clue how it works really.

What's the best place to buy from? How long does it take?

I'm forced to purchase them to use backpage. Blah.

So is it the same as paypal?

Serge Litehead 10-20-2015 10:56 AM

yeah, similar. you create an account, get verified, add your banking info and then you can buy them. when you'll need to send them, you enter provided address and amount. bitcoin transactions are very quick but in some instances can take around 1hr to get confirmed by rest of bitcoin network.

i think both services may have instant purchase option with a CC, not sure how that works, you probably need your account verified beforehand.

I have used coinbase, Takes almost a week to get them when buying from your bank account. If you are just opening an account, You might have to verify your bank account, Which takes a few days too.

If you live in a big town, You can try localbitcoin.

I have about $30 in bitcoin. I will sell you some for a 5% premium.

It's still difficult to buy bitcoin. I have working accounts that I can get bitcoin from at Circle & Cryptsy although I tried many others.
The easiest way is to buy from localbitcoins or similar using BACS although you will pay a little more than at an exchange.

My sales person used that earlier and she said it was super easy. Money was in her account within an hour. Had to send in photo ID's and hoopla but was able to use her paypal to fund it. I think this shall be the way for me.

Thanks guys for all your help. Always appreciate ya's!

That is awesome. I wanted to get a bitcoin ATM, but saw where in the US you need to follow AML (Anti-Money Laundering) laws. I wonder if they ask for id and such at the ATM.

Yes, they scan your ID and take a photo.

Thanks man. I figured they did something like that. Some homeless dudes are probably gonna make some cash this way. Smurfing meets bitcoin.
