Damn - I Am In Agony...

I have chronic pancreatitis for a while and now I am having an acute flare up - On a bad day it feels like I have been punched in the side - This feels like Mike Tyson did the punching...

I should go to the hospital, but I think I'm going to wait for a few hours and get the doctor out.....

If I shout at anyone don't take it personally:winkwink:...

You have a doctor that will make housecalls? Really? I have not heard of that service for like 40 years or so. Wow.

Hope you feel better.

EddyTheDog 10-22-2015 08:07 AM

So the doctor has been and gone - I got some nice painkillers, but there was a price to pay - My BP was through the roof - So she doubled my anti-hypertensives...

187/120 - A couple of dihydrocodeine and a few beers should fix that - lol.....

I think the pain has something to do with it...

Rochard 10-22-2015 08:56 AM

I hope you feel better soon. That's gotta suck.

AdultKing 10-22-2015 09:17 AM

Hope you feel better soon.

House calls have always been a thing in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Heck, in Australia there's even a doctor who will fly to you in a plane if you're in a remote area.

High BP + chronic pancreatitis... Your body is screaming: "stop drinking!" I'm not kidding. Painkillers won't heal you. A beer will just make the things worse.

I don't think it's something you should make fun of. A chronic pancreatitis is a serious thing which is absolutely incompatible with a booze. Have you heard about Magnitsky?

pornmasta 10-22-2015 12:25 PM

be careful with alcohol

Joe Obenberger 10-22-2015 01:08 PM

Most sincere best wishes that you get better.

1. Don't mix alcohol.

2. Seriously, the tablets may not be enough. Acute abdominal pain is the very worst - an ER visit at 4am a few years ago was one of the two times I've had IV morphine - and that's what really what it can take sometimes. If the tablets don't do more than take the edge off, go to the ER and get some serious pain management.

3. In the meantime, offer all the pain up for the Poor Souls in Purgatory. Everybody forgets about them these days. :-)

I was about to say the same thing basically.

Eddy you have mentioned a few times you drink quite a bit? Beer is not as bad as hard liquor on the body but I would not be drinking if I was in your condition.

do they have emergency rooms there??? you need xrays and blood work :2 cents::2 cents:

Barry-xlovecam 10-22-2015 01:54 PM

Try to chill out a bit ... Maybe your BP will just go down with the dihydrocodeine taking effect -- forget the alcohol ...

Doubling up one dose of an alpha-blocker to relive high BP is something I have occasionally done too. Just know the maximum 24hr dosage.

Yeah, racing glow in the dark walkers :P
