Micro payments, adult?
Well.
I will be selling a movie, many moons from now. I've decided that the most likely pricepoint will be $4.99. Now, how the heck am I suppose to get payments, when there are no micro payment processors for adult?? :disgust:disgust |
|
Maybe direct bank payments?? Or something like Trustly, or at least bitcoin will work.
I really hope direct bank transfer services(like Trustly) becomes bigger. It's so easy to use. I really like it. |
What I used to do was to use verotel - Setup as folows. Each movie / clip was uploaded to its own folder with a thanks for purchasing, click here to download page.
I then made that folder just that folder a subset of my main site - meaning I sold 3 days access (enough time to download) to that folder alone, via verotel for $7.99 non recurring. Do each clip in its own folder and you can charge what you want for access to whatever folder you want. All work independent of each other. Hope that makes sense... I was selling at 7.99 but you could choose $4.99 or whatever you want and each clip sold goes into the same pot (account) so it soon adds up to enough to trigger payout... Not exactly an elegant purpose built micro-paymet solution, but simple enough to implement and simple enough for the punters to use and pay with :) |
Thanks for the info CS.
And Verotel are reliable and pays on time?? |

Why not speak to these guys:
https://securionpay.com/ They have a very versatile API that allows you to do just about anything. If all you'll be selling is one movie then any payment processor will do. If you are selling multiple movies you'll most likely need product codes for each movie OR use a similar style of payment that cam sites use with Epoch or ask them about any PPV solutions they might have. |

Thit is not a problem for us at all :). We already have partners that process low volume transactions and its flawless. We will just have to calculate things properly to make sure you are left with a healthy margin :). Contact me to discuss it in details. Quote:
We have just released our brand new setup process https://securionpay.com/setup (it is totally paper free set up for Ecommerce; high risk still requires some papers flying due to its nature but we hope to eliminate that one day too). Btw, i guess i did not mention that right now you do not need developers anymore to integrate our platform. Everyone, even without tech knowledge, can do it him/herself almost instantly. :thumbsup Quote:

In mainstream Amazon and Paypal offer 5% and $0.05 per transaction for anything under $10. Anything over that it's 2.9% + $0.30 a transaction. In adult it's straight %%, so it doesn't really matter what the sale price is. |
If it's downloadable, the solution is easy.
Use CCBill for processing mixed with Phantom Cart for the shopping cart. I use that on my jimmyhooligan.com site to sell my videos (instead of a conventional members area). - Jimmy Hooligan |

Probably the same with CCbill?? Anyway, I'm leaning to go with Epoch or Ccbill for this. Any inputs on them?? Only reason I'm going with them, if possible. Is that I have a hard time forgiving when it comes to certain things. And if I join some unknown biller, and they take my money. I know for sure, I will be bitter about it for the rest of my life. That's just the way I am. |

From what i see you have 3 concerns: 1. To be able to do exactly what you want in regards to pricing and transaction amount - lets call it simply Flexibility 2. Double digit fees for the processing service (15%) 3. To be sure you are always get paid and your money will not be "taken" by a processor. What you need to fix all the 3 things at once is your own merchant account with a proper gateway. You do whatever you want and how you want it in regards to the set up, you pay around 5% or less and you get paid directly by the acquiring bank to your account without any middle man. The payouts comes weekly with just one week delay, so your cash flow looks better. Btw, this is exactly what we offer https://securionpay.com/setup |

I just feel, CCbill or Epoch would be a safe bet. But with my own merchant account, do I not need to take care of billing support and chargebacks and stuff. On my own then?? |

1.Work with well known processors with a long history - rule number one.
2.Avoid newcomers working from his bedroom - rule number two. Unless you like dancing with demons :helpme |

I wonder if he still needs a payment processor after 8 years :error

Old ass thread, but still relevant is using Bitcoin for micropayments via Lightning Network, which would be instant & nearly free transactions. Or for BTC check https://btcpayserver.org (I believe no 2nd layer available, yet)
