Mark Hamill: I can't watch Star Wars
>Mark Hamill tells TMZ ... unlike millions of nerds across the galaxy, he refuses to watch the old "Star Wars" movies ... and it's all because he's super insecure about seeing himself on-screen
|
Yeah no wonder. He doesn't want to see his original nose and be reminded of what a fucking idiot he was to get in that accident that tore his face off.

Lots of people don't like watching themselves on film :2 cents:

I'm surprised he gave that much time too TMZ - he seemed like he wanted to leave the entire time and never looked at camera.

He can't watch it because that movie is a steaming pile of dog shit.
What amazes me is that ANYONE can stand to sit through that mess. |

I felt uncomfortable watching that.
What a load of idiotic questions that was. He should have reversed over the cunt... |
I can't watch it either ...

Considering his accident happened around 76, I always assumed that Mark decided to shy away from acting and do voice instead because maybe he felt the SW movies made his private life impossible or something similar.
But according to IMDB, he didn't go gung ho with voice acting until 93 and when you highlight the word "voice" on the page, he's been very busy over the last few decades and from his bookings you can see he doesn't like being in front of the camera too much. |

Wtf? He is using remote control to open doors instead of force ? What happened to him? |
Not even Corvette Summer?
C'mon Mark that one was cool!! |

You also have to remember actors are touchy feely sort of people. So they go by the energy on the set and how the scene felt as they were doing it and so on. In a way that's fine being that's their side of the gig. They have no control over how it's cut, the camera angles or even the takes used in most cases. So how the film is edited to make their character seem a certain way is not really great feedback for some actors. |
