Black OPS 3
 

Reactivate ps4 online for 3 months, $17.99. I don't play it often, bored easily. Super excited for Black Ops 3 and buy it online and download it. I think it's going to be a 30 minute or 1 hour download at max. Make a large cup of Amaretto Sour, drink and get faded a little. And 7 hours later it's still downloading. FML.. I had just a little free time from work, girlfriend, kid. Now it's still downloading and my Amaretto Sour is wearing off. Fuck it.

I play video games, but I don't have to have the latest video game the day or even the month it comes out.

The reason i don't buy any games etc from their online store is because of the length of time it takes to download anything.

Would be quicker going to the shopping mall and just buying the damn thing. And usually cheaper aswell.

I thought the idea of the store meant that they cut out the middle man and the costs etc, so i expected the games to be at least a little bit cheaper
As it is, most games on the PS Store are always more expensive. Strange...

Doesn't matter if you download it or buy the disc, for some stupid ass reason they decided to fuck this install up big time. You load up the game for the first time with the disc and all you can do is pick your character, set up your load outs and play zombies. That is because for some unknown reason, they have to install online play and campaign. Not to mention there is a 2.7GB update right off the bat. I picked the game up Friday night, got home around 6:30pm and managed to play 1 hour from 10pm onwards. To say I was pissed off is an understatement.

The game is pretty decent so far but I have no idea why the need to install everything when I have a fucking disc in my console.

It was an impulse buy. I like to base my life and purchases off impulse behavior. I knew I'd never buy it from Walmart that was 2 minutes from my house. So I bit the bullet.

My son is desperate for the new Halo 5 game but it will only be for XBox 1. we got the 360 and 1 year later they came out with the Xbox1.

Yeah that timing sucks. But the 360 was out for almost 15 years before the 1 came out....

That's just about every game that comes out though. Destiny, COD, anything with online play always requires an update the night of. I can share your frustration though...it does suck.

I can't remember ever having to do this with PS3 games...

I can recall updating my Xbox 360 when Halo and Halo Reach came out. Its happened on just about every new release that has online as well. How else are they supposed to fix issues in the online aspect of games without a patch?

Probably not playing online? Every game I buy that's more than a couple days old auto updates before I even play it.

Game is pretty bad, but better than most CODs.

The update isn't a big deal because it was mainly for online play but I do not understand why I couldn't immediately play my campaign that I bought the disc for. I actually still don't understand if I'm honest. I put it in, I was prompted to download the 2.7GB update before I could play online, ok fine no problem, I will play campaign while that downloads. Nope! Had to wait for the download before campaign installed. My wife was laughing at how pissed off I was getting, looking back it was childish but damn did that ever annoy me!
