Beard Tips

Not talking about my GF...Actual beard tips.

About a month into growing out my beard. Have a comb, brush, and balm...any tips from veteran beard wearers would be much appreciated.

Better be a kent comb! I personally prefer to use straight argon oil instead of balm. When it gets colder out or if I'm outside then I use the balm. Especially snowboarding.

What about the control factor...does argon oil keep the stray hairs in line?

Yea I definitely notice it keeps the fly-aways down. Argon oil, comb through, done.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Me too!!

Got a long one growing.

I have been making my own beard balm, beard wax and mustache wax.

Got some bad ass recipes and tricks from this site. Grow a Beard Now - Beard Care & Grooming Products

Then after I really grew it out long I went to This guy Mir who is a super stud t trimming and shaping beards. Mir the Master Barber - 16 Photos - Barbers - Sherman Oaks - Sherman Oaks, CA - Reviews - Yelp

Mir has people travel from all over the world to get their beards trimmed and shipped.

This guy was awesome!!! Learned a lot of cool tricks that I would never find on the internet on how to get the look I wanted or any look I wanted for my beard.

One trick that was pretty bad ass was to blow-dry my beard with a vented brush to ad volume.

My heard is curly and kinky without blowdrying.

I was making strong beard balm and beard wax to get control before I learned about blowdrying.

Now with blowdrying and beard balm and mustache wax (That I custom made), I started getting the look and feel that I wanted. Blowdrying makes a monster difference on how my beard looks.

And you have to grow out the stash!!

I also use Kent combs and brushes. Do not use anything else!! Home page

Amazon.com : Kent Men's Handmade Comb, Set of 3 : Beauty

The combs are hand made and the brushes will last you a life time.

I use this blowdryer. The more expensive ones are the better ones! Trust me!! I did my research. You can fuck your beard up with a cheap blowdryer. Using the mall attachments that come with it is a must. It really focusses, the air and heat. Amazon.com : BaByliss Pro BABNT6160N Nano Titanium Torino Dryer : Hair Dryers : Beauty

Got 2 of these when they were $80 Now they are $126

This beard thing has been my new thing for 6+ months. Started growing the stash out 5 weeks.

I know I sound like a bitch, but I do swear by everything Im using. But anything and everything I buy and choose to do, I spend an enormous amount of time reading and researching it. I hate buying shit twice!! Buy it once and buy it right.

Any questions feel free to ask.

LOL back in the days if someone would make such post on how to care for a beard they`d get a good punch in the face or kick in the ass and told to Man the fuck up.

Nowadays you`ll be in a gym locker and guys are giving themselves tips and tricks on man grooming. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

I get razor bumps after shaving

For a softer beard, use a conditioner. This works for pubic hair too. :pimp

I would have to way agree with you on all of your points.

But when it starts getting long and you have zero clue how to take care of it, it can itch, get dandruff, break off, get patchy and all around annoy the shit out of you.

Also if you groom it and shape it, it can look pretty cool vs. not grooming it and you look like a homeless man.

I started using pine tar soap. Seems to work for me way better than conditioner.
