The omly thing they dont make is the monkey style burger but still my favorite burger joint.

I've always thought they were pretty shitty. I live real close to one and it is never even a consideration when I want a hamburger.

L-Pink 11-20-2015 05:21 PM

Whataburger for the win :thumbsup

People love what they can't have

In n out burger is the most overrated burger place in world history. Five guys is way better. Even Fatburger is way better.

Never got into all the secret menu stuff.. Maybe I'm just boring but their burgers were fine the normal way.

:throwup:throwup

I think 5 Guys is the epitome of overrated. Burgers and buns that fall apart and have no substance. They all had big lines upon opening on the West Coast, now you can walk right up to the counter. Every Fatburger I've been to has a funky, nauseating sulfur aroma.

Back when I lived in Southern California and before I became vegetarian, I ate In-N-Out burgers quite frequently. In-N-out and Tommy's were my top 2 faves.

You have a point about loving what you can't have.... Scarcity or at least perceived scarcity has a way of boosting anything's appeal. When I was in college in the Bay Area in the early 90s, my buddies and I would do 'In-N-Out burger PILGRIMAGES' to Kettleman City. Thankfully, In-N-Out opened quite a few branches in the Bay Area since then.

Severely overrated. And definitely not worth a 45 minute wait.

I seem to live in hamburger heaven. There are so many good burger places in my area. National chains, regional chains, and private joints.

A few of my favorites:
Five Guys
Fat Burger
Mighty Fine (Texas)
P. Terry's (Austin)
Shake Shack
Whataburger (started in Texas, now in the South)

Fudruckers is good but they don't understand proportions. A whopping slab of one and a half inches of ground meat is not a good burger, that's just a whack of meat.

My favorite hamburger is at a Ukrainian diner in the East Village called Veselka.

Alright, alright. Next time I visit the States, I'll stop by a Five Guys. Apparently, their Veggie Sandwich is on point. :thumbsup

I would say they are the best FAST FOOD burger.

Mr Pheer 11-21-2015 05:15 PM

This place is my current favorite, but probably just because they are on the other side of town from me so I only get there maybe 4 times a year.

Freddie's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers
Restaurant Menu

Another of my favorites is a place here called Bachi Burger. Local to SoCal and the Vegas area. Asian fusion burgers.... doesnt sound appetizing but they pull it off extremely well.

Burgers

There's a great burger joint, but it's at the other other side of town. Even has a few car rallys. Name is Big Boy. It's not part of the national chain, AKA Shoney's. He opened up before Big Boy/Shoney's opened a store in the state. So he ended up beening the only Big Boy in the State.

There used to be a great one that looked like a drive-in in American Graffiti. One of the car magazines even came and did a photo shoot of the Friday & Saturday night cruzin. Place was so busy they sold you a ticket to drive through, redeemable for food. Gone for years, but people still rave about the food on FaceBook

Another in town has gone downhill, but they deliver your food by overhead trains.
