+1 for PornCMS

ElevatedX is an excellent CMS used by hundreds of programs and probably almost 2000 pay sites. It is well supported, continuously updated and around for the long haul.

Why is that no one provides an open source CMS for an one time fee with regular updates? most of them charge monthly subscription.

paying recurring fees for a script means you're getting an actively developed project -- new features are added, new technologies implemented, users are supported. the better serviced scripts also include perks, such as hosting and video conversion. the lame ass ones will charge extra for these features. :thumbsup |

ElevatedX is the best. I have worked with it for over 6 years and NEVER EVER had an issue.
The entire AmateurDough.com network is built on it and I can categorically say that you won't find a better CMS out there |

I've done work on it and used it myself for years. I've used a few other software packages as well and I've always ended up coming back to it. It's a lot like a Photoshop type software where there are several ways to do the same task (and so it appeals to different types of thinking) and it also is so feature rich that I can always find a way to handle even the most whacky client requests by mangling up one of it's features.

I am not a technical person at all we use Elevated X on one of our sites soon to be more. I have nothing but great things to say about not only Elevated X but the entire team behind it. They have been nothing but professional and accommodating to our needs. Having a professional team behind their product is what I look for most.

Wordpress is good for small sites, but not for large projects

This is not something new for Elevated X, just something we've been waiting to reintroduce. It's crazy to think that this re-release has been 5 years in the making: Beta testers needed for new Elevated X VOD setup - GoFuckYourself.com - Adult Webmaster Forum Back then pay site owners said they wanted VOD but then reported that membership sales were so much stronger that they didn't want to cannibalize their traffic for VOD sales. In the passing years I've shared in articles and on seminar panels about what that lesson taught us, speaking about that hardship as it relates to tech trends and cycles. The timing of that release was one of my worst business mistakes. We lost close to $75k on development and support and the biggest thing we've learned in 10 years is that we and our customers gain more by us waiting until a point of maturity than we do by being too early. Kudos to you for adding the feature. We're happy the pay site market has finally reached a point where we will maximize the value of our development dollars this second time around and look forward to 2016. We're especially excited about re-releasing VOD features now that biller functionality like 1-click and auth processes that didn't exist in 2011 are more mature and I know a lot of pay site owners are excited to see us reintroduce this too. :thumbsup AJ |

I was proud to see Titan join the Gamelink family last year and despite the BS and trash talking rhetoric in these CMS threads, the continued success of our client companies like Titan, Adam and Eve and many others who continue to grow with Elevated X tells us we're still heading in the right direction after 10 years in business. Your support and friendship is appreciated more than you know. I look forward to the next time we cross paths and to making a dent in a bottle of whiskey with you next year. :) AJ |
I've used many CMS's over the years: Wordpress and a few custom-built CMS's. Here are the problems I've found with those two:
1) Wordpress: You must make sure to constantly update to the latest build, and be careful what plugins you install. Because it's so widely used, wordpress is also (I've found) the most hacked CMS, because everyone knows how it works and that everyone uses it. And plugins may seem like the a boon for non-programmers, but be careful what you install, because since you don't always know who's built them or how secure their scripts are, that's another opportunity for exploits and hacking. 2) Custom-built CMS's: Unless you have a full-time programmer on your team to constantly update the scripts and harden security, you're just asking to get hacked within a couple years. And not to mention, every custom-built CMS I've seen has sucked-- unless you have a whole team of programmers and a whole lotta money to build a bunch of custom functionalities. I've been a long-time user of ElevatedX, and I don't see myself moving to any other platform any time soon. The amount of features are robust and extensive-- it's a great out-of-the-box solution for a porn star looking to get a membership site started, and for a company like mine that needs extensive features and custom functionality, the amount you can do with it is endless. And with their whole team of programmers constantly pushing out updates, I almost never have to worry about security or bugs. I'm mainly a front-end developer, with mediocre PHP literacy, but you can see for yourself how much I've been able to customize their CMS: CockyBoys |

Should the "industry standard" be so easy to beat?
PornCMS crushes ElevatedX on: - price (we have the lowest in the industry) - free hosting - video converter included in all accounts - bootstrap template included in all accounts - integrated member/pass/security management - free webcam broadcaster on most accounts The list goes on.... Every industry should have a "standard" that sets the bar so low.. |
