FYI -

Skype blocked my messages for almost 2 weeks. I lost what looks like a lot of good work because of this, and I'm pissed. What happened? I didn't have a Microsoft account linked to my Skype ID. I created a new Microsoft account, linked it to Skype and everything started working within minutes.

I'm sure a good portion of you are already aware of this, and I'm sorry for wasting your time. If this message reaches at least one person and helps them, I feel it was worth the effort on my part.

Microsoft butchers its acquisitions so the in house shit doesn't smell as bad.

My Skype account is not linked to Microsoft - I don't have any issues receiving messages.

I hope you continue on without issue. If you ever do have a problem, at least you now have a potential solution. I ran Skype without a Microsoft account for a long time without any issues, as well.
