I need help - Looking for a Non Profit that takes Adult Donations

I am looking for a non-profit for YanksCash to support on a monthly basis. I would prefer something that champions Women's Empowerment or Female Sexual Health (Sans being too pro-choice vocal as I can't also take up that fight). I have been killing myself for a month trying to get someone to take an amount of money that is surely is impactful.

Does anyone have any connections or experiences in this space?

I have some suggestions but there are hundreds that take anonymous donations. Why would you be turned down? Are you going to publicize the giving in an ad campaign or some other manner intended to benefit your organization?

Please give more detail on why any given group wouldn't accept your donation and then I'll be able to help you.

I don't want to do anonymous as one of the goals is to become a publicly socially responsible company in this space. Also, I want to put on our join pages that $X of each sale is going to X org and if a customer approaches them I want them to at least acknowledge the legitimacy of the donation. I also think that this is just fair.

As for why we have been turned down. So far I have focused in the arena of Women's Empowerment. This works for us as our content is 100% female produced, we only shoot girl/girl and solo girl and our CEO is female. We are a very female friendly company.

Organizations that fight Female Genital Mutilation have turned us down because they work mostly in Islamic countries. Working with us is liability.

Orgs that fight Sex Trafficking refuse to believe that we aren't doing the same. So fucking stupid.

Orgs that fight domestic violence believe that we objectify women (not totally untrue) and we are essentially part of the problem. (totally untrue)

I haven't focused too much on orgs that support Female Sexual Health as they usually support abortion and while I am 100% pro-choice, I can't fight on the adult front with the org and the pro-choice front with my customers.

Any input helps. I have tons of lists, but I really need connections and examples of Adult $$$ to Non-profit success stories. Adult $$$ to Non-profits.

Thanks:thumbsup

In that case, no matter what you do, you'll encounter difficulty. Someone will send a link and a board member will send around an angry email, and the person responsible for accepting the donation will be fired. Additionally, if that charity applies for foundation money, or federal or state money, that can be used against them.

I would advocate working with someone in adult who had a foundation or a charity. It isn't hard to found one, or find a charity. They are easy to create (though it takes 18 months to receive a 501 c3 designation).

I have been approaching directors and asking for board approval from the start, however the effect is the same. No. Another option I might try is to go for a local women's shelter in a liberal strong hold, SF or Portland. A place where the amount of money I will contribute has more power to mitigate the PR issue.

Dude why don't you just contribute to a sex workers charity. There are a number of those, and they obviously would accept your donation. They're fighting a really good fight, BTW, to keep them from being falsely cast as "victims"

"Your donations directly support local grassroots advocacy, small-scale service provision, and community organizing. They also support a national movement to support sex worker rights."

"Sex Workers Outreach Project is a 501(c)3 Charity, and all donations are tax deductible."
