Webmasters do you have a social media accounts for your sites?
 

Like Facebook, twitter, Instagram? My reasoning in not having them is that Users would be to embarrassed to add my porn sites to their social media accounts.

Or am I wrong?

I don't use facebook for that reason. I do use twitter and tumblr though.

The best traffic comes from forums.

How do you eliminate the (many) which also have links to pirate content on lockers too though ?

Social site traffic doesn't convert and it wastes tons and tons of time! It's best to create the social sites have like & follow buttons on your main site and let people naturally like/follow then post your content on the social sites to get people back on your site!

I have a single twitter account because social media is good for SEO more than for the quality of traffic

You would be surprised how much traffic you can gain from the social media sites (twitter and tumblr).

I would be interested in hearing more about this. One of the reasons I do not do Twitter et all. I have such limited time and it seems like such a waste. :)

people like risque facebook pages all the time. either they don't give a shit, or are unaware that their facebook likes show to all their friends or are from the indian subcontinent.

The entire key is to push out your product to any many people as possible in any many ways as possible.

One of the best things I've done is creating an automated email list - people sign up to my email list, and every blog post I make from any of my blogs automatically goes to this list.

Some of my affilaites at Dating Factory push all of their traffic through their Facebook group.

Lots of people don't have a account because of that man, so use your biz entity NOT your personal name..:2 cents:

I use social media but I don't generally spend much time on the sites. It's just another way how you can gain extra exposure your site, so why not take advantage of it? I do not use Facebook for my adult website, but I do use Twitter, Tumblr ...and a few other social media sites.
