I normally only do blood donations.

Once a month...

To those that have done it, how badly does it hurt? I hear that it's pretty awful, but no experience with it.

Why would it hurt? It's just a little poke and then the needle is in your arm.

Whenever your mom asks for it.

I don't think they would want mine

It "hurts" the same as giving blood. It just takes longer - mine used to take 90 minutes to 2 hours. I haven't given since I moved out of the US.

I used to donate when I was going to college. They used to pay something like 50 bucks per session and during this time, it was free beer money! :pimp

I don't really remember any pain from it. One time I had a nurse (must have been one of her first tries) miss the vein and it rolled over and I looked like a junkie for a week. Never go though after you have been out drinking... Takes twice as long due to the dehydration. :1orglaugh

As soon as the screen starts to dim I usually post it on kijiji for free. I mainly prefer led these days anyway.

I recall donating once or twice in my life. I remember it was obligatory to donate plasma when I was in the army, but I told them about having heart problems at the moment. Still didn't mind giving it. They refused. Well, their loss :)
