Where do you buy your electronic components since Radio Shack closed?
I'm trying to wire an LED system and need to purchase some boards, resistors, power supplies, and batteries. Where can I buy them and not in bulk? The only sites I've found they sell them in lots of 100 or more. I don't need that many. I used to get it at Radio Shack when they were open, but that's not going to work now.

I get some of my stuff here Electronics Supply Co., Inc.- Kansas City, Mo. but they are local to me so I walk in and look all around.
Then Microcenter has a hobby electronics department that has been growing steadily for the past couple of years. Again, they are local to me so I cam go in and look around. Boards/Projects : Hobby Electronics : Micro Center, Electronic Components : Hobby Electronics : Micro Center, Electronic Parts : Hobby Electronics : Micro Center And then online I have used https://www.sparkfun.com/, http://www.adafruit.com/ and a couple of others. I also use https://www.pjrc.com/. I have several versions of the teensy processor I work with. :thumbsup . |
Perfect! Thanks for the links. I never thought of looking at local hobby stores. Thanks for that suggestion as well. :thumbsup

I've been using eBay and Amazon. Digikey is great too. My son is getting old enough to do some electronics projects. Fun stuff :thumbsup
