Are shops dead now?

It looks like people are shopping online now in the UK.

Is there any point to shops these days (except for supermarkets).

In the last few months I have just got everything off the net (except food).

Not only has it saved me time and money, but its saved me fuel and having to drive all over the place.

I even ordered from Amazon on my phone when walking the dog.

I do not think I will bother with a shop again.

The big problem is delivery firms. They suck.

I tend to only order from Amazon things that have no extra delivery fees.

I often find myself comparing prices in the shops to what Amazon has and will go with whatever costs less. If I'm going to save money and I don't need it right away, I'll order from Amazon.

I stole a packet from dvtime's house and all it had inside was a bunch of these.

Clothes and shoes for sure! I like to try on the fit of anything before I buy it. I'm at an awkward size right in between sizes, so sometimes I get something funky fitting from online.

Everything else (aside from groceries) is bought online, UNLESS I need a piece of tech right now. In that case, I check Amazon for product price and go to Best Buy to pickup since they price match anything that's shipped and sold by Amazon.

I couldn't tell you. I do most of my shopping online myself, have for years, so I don't visit the local mall often.

The downside of Christmas for me is buying the regular stuff I need, trips to Target, for stupid stuff like TP and what not. Going to Target is now a hassle during Christmas.

high street shopping has been closing & their trade has slowed down for years, due to the large supermarkets, local butchers, bakers, off licences.

There shall always be enough trade for most shops to remain. Most people would agree, it's nice to go out & actually shop, especially for birthdays or Christmas :2 cents:

No but I wish that you were.
