They're hard to see but they are the icicle lights with the white cord hanging from the edge of the roof. It was a bit scary up there. Next year we hire somebody to do it.

I have always thought the single light in the windows was a nice look. Though the garish displays do make me laugh.

When my grandparents sold their house years ago the new owners left their Christmas lights up year round to avoid the work of putting them back up again. To avoid further questions yes the new owners were black. :winkwink:

At least the kids were not nearby so I was able to prepare it as a surprise. I was fucking lucky as the lighting part of the whole stuff was perfectly enough [40 meters I think].
