X-Box One or Playstation 4?
I'm considering getting a gaming console for my daughter, but also for me. The games are going to be an important factor, but I'll be using it for other stuff like streaming movies, etc. What would you recommend? Which has better games? Which is better for non-gaming stuff?
I have never owned an X-Box, but did own the original Playstation when they were first released. Haven't owned any gaming console since so I'm at a complete loss here. |
Both are similar and you can't go wrong with neither. I have the PS4
I've bought XBox One a year ago to play Far Cry 4 and pretty happy with it. On the other hand, I have no experience with PS4 to compare.
I have both so pick whichever one that has more exclusive games you prefer
Selling my xbox one..
PS4 for sure (Much better exlusives and First Party games). Xbox One here sits and collects dust. The Wii U gets more play.
PS4 is ok,disappointing with the storage not being to upgrade unless you change the drive.500 gb fills up quick
Just get both. Seriously. Try them out, (Side by side) decide what one you like best then sell the other as an unwanted xmas gift in the new year :)
I prefer more PS4.
I'm on PS4. Liking it but, unsure if my gaming days are soon coming to an end...
Does anybody here play Star Wars Battlefront? :)
I got both. Both are good.
Had XboxOne since the day 1. My girl won it on a scratcher. It is pretty awesome!! I play it on a Sharp 80 inch TV with a Bose surround sound system. Online gaming is sick! Just bought a 2 tara external 3.0 drive for more space. It was as simple as plugging it in and it works. Zero complaints!! Just picked up the new one tara PS4 COD3 addition to play Madden and other games with my friends that have PS4. This also seems to be pretty cool. To be honest, I have only played 2 Madden games with one friend and 30 min of COD3. So far its pretty cool and can't give it a complete review. But if I had to say one thing: Both look the same to me on my TV. Cant really say one looks better than the other. Always been an Xbox fan and always loved the online gaming. seems to be the best from my experiences. Cant see the PS4 being anything different. The funny thing I noticed as i have gotten older: When I was younger, I had all the time in the world to play games and no money. Now I have a lot of money and almost Zero time to play games. I really put in 80+ hours a week at work and I will work 10+ days straight. Its brutal!! As twisted and strange as it is, I get pleasure at looking at the all of my game systems and all of the games still in the wrappers, with the knowledge that if I wanted to go play anything, I can. I know its strange, but I feel good about it. Between all of my gaming systems, I must still have 40 games in the wrappers. And I won't let my girlfriend trade them in or sell them. Sorry about the tangent. Wrote this post over an hour while editing and processing stills. lol XboxOne ID: JustDaveXxx PS3 ID: JustDaveX-13 Just Dave |
All my friends are on ps4 so I did get one for myself. Sucks that titanfall was exclusive to xbox though.
Don't own a videogame console ...
i support sony for the great graphics they provide since long time.
things i hate about sony playstation in general 1.unfriendly customer service 2.hackers fucking accounts 3.expensive titles*** 4.updates / software batches against firmware customization ...like adding homebrew etc 5.vita fail ! i don't own ps4 but i believe it's better than xbox . |
I think she would enjoy Wii U the most but I'm sure you will get a lot of fun out of it too. It's not a media center or anything like that though, it's pretty much just for gaming even though it has netflix and such.

PS4 for me.
PS4 all the way :)

I picked up an Xbox One and it turned me off video games. I wouldn't touch that system. Go Sony of forget it.
It's all about the exclusives. The PS4 KILLS Xbox when it comes to exclusive games, BUT it's best to see which you'd prefer on each system. I know most big titles come out on both systems, but the PS4 has the Uncharted series, God Of War, Open Sky and Wild will be out sooner or later and they look AMAZING. Whereas Xbox has the new Tomb Raider, Halo series, Gears Of War.

voted...
Got an XBox One for them some time back, but they kept playing the XBox 360, so we sold the XBox One
Another vote for PS4 here. I do however find the PS4 to be the more "mature" system...and Xbox to be more child/kid oriented system. If you're going to be using it too I would get the PS4
I have an xbox one but I'd go ps4... I didn't buy the xbox one, was a gift.
As my opinion second on Ps4
Do this: Figure out which games you really want to play. If you find that the game(s) you most want are exclusive to 1 platform or the other, go with that platform. Otherwise, most gaming companies make content for both platforms so you really can't go wrong with either one.
I have both, Playstation 4 hands down. The only time i buy anything for XBO is if it's an exclusive title (ie the new tomb raider). I would avoid pc gaming - while it's better graphics if you have a good pc, lots of issues with drivers for video cards and crap like that... you spend as much time getting the games to run as playing them.
None.I had PS and xbox before, but non of them come close to pc gaming.
