A year ago today I found out my bf was cheating. I never really understand why people cheat..

Maybe you didn't do enough to satisfy him?

After some time together it is not strange to ask yourself if you really are happy.

Sex is almost never the reason someone cheats. It's emotions, it's a feeling of being wanted and cared for, it's feeling like someone is on your team. The lack of those is going to make someone want to find those. Be good to him and for him or someone else will. Same goes for the other genders or same gender couples. Rocket science this isn't.

Usually that is the case - the cheater isn't getting what they want to make them happy, so they go some place else.

I know when I was younger and dating, I always seem to have a "plan b" - a girlfriend waiting in the wings. I had a bad habit of having a new girlfriend before I had completely left the current girlfriend. In fact, when I met my wife I was still dating my girlfriend.

Women do it - Men do it. That's why marriage even a relationship = love isn't a feeling it's an act of the will. Feelings aren't always there and if you rely on feelings you'll want that again.
